i am currently farming DE for my Barb king which is lvl3. Sometimes I have great battles with this army,
4 lvl2 healers+12 lvl4 wizards+9 lvl4 giants+8 lvl4 WB+ with the rest barbs n some archers my camp space 200.
... However being TH7 sometimes i go against x bows and inferno towers which decimate my attack these bases normally have 1000 DE but i can only get them 1 out of 6 battles
so i use rage which is lvl 4 and no lightning my issue is how do I get my DE when faced with x bows
At TH7, i skipped villages with xbows like a plague. Even now that i'm TH9 i still do that.

I use an abnormal army for DE hunting which is BA. It's mainly used for gold farming... But if you can find uncentralised DE it works like a charm.

aim for Th8 Bases or TH7s. only go against xbows when you know you can get de for sure, I.E when its exposed or semi exposed. If you want you can use my guide(link in Sig) to see what bases you should aim for etc
At th7, use lightning spells on revenges and on th9s and 10s - they won't revenge you back cos you won't be worth it.

This happened to me a lot when i hit TH9. I was in the 1400 range for TH8 farming, and suddenly i was getting zapped by TH7's left and right. And like you said, revenges just weren't cost effective. So the little #*!#s got away with it 😾Quote:

You can also use the standard BArch tactics at this level, because you can find players that don't value their DE. They'll put it one or two layers into their base, well within reach of your barbs and archers. Often you can find these bases without x-bows or the DE is easy enough to get at that it doesn't matter. You can find 600+ DE in these types of bases, even as much as 1,200 if you're lucky
You just have to be willing to skip alot.
Its really good if you can manage staying around 1700, but I find this difficult as I don't win often raiding this way.... and with my farming set up I lose trophies alot

x-bows aren't that bad. its pretty cool to watch them in action, but u can survive attacking a base with it. i'm doing the EXACT same thing as u right now, with same lvl barb king, now lol. I use barb/ archer strategy. 80 barbs, 104 archers, 8 WB, make 200 spaces. for spells, I do a lightning, a healing a rage. I usually do lightning on CC troops, healing where archers or barbs are attacking wiz tower or getting attacked while trying to get DE, and rage on DE. u wont get much DE from avoiding bases with x-bows, and they're not dat bad. inferno towers won't be bad either with barb/ archer strategy. and miraculously, in 1 day I got 6K DE! p.s. im in league gold 1 w/ around 1730-1830 trophies. expect crazy attacks up there, though, always getting constantly getting attacked by lvl 5 and 6 troops plus I just got 3-starred by 10 drags today :( . They were almost only able to get a 2-star but they lightning my AD :(
I would just keep hitting the next button until I found a TH9 with drills full or DE exposed. There are lots out there just might have to go a little higher in cups...
