Ive been saying this for a while now, the CoC Dev team is just not very good at all.

So disappointing.

They think that the lack of communication increases hype, but it really just confuses and annoys their customers. Who in their right mind thinks it is better for a company to NOT communicate with their customers?

Is it too much to ask to know if the update is done or if they have a set release date yet? When companies are run like this they are due to collapse sometime. CoC is well past its prime.

Well it is going to be at least two months, which is DOUBLE what they expected.

When is that ever acceptable? Just admit that SC has screwed this whole thing up and has overpromised to its customers (so far).

And also you completely contradict yourself in your post. Did they say 'the update is one month away maybe earlier or later' or not?

3 weeks ago thread is created by lach beacuse update was about to come..

With update status and sneak peek status but both have red sign saying not this week I was ok with that as update need sometime and it's huge so maybe take much more time.
But even in next week the update not sneak peeks show and in end lach said no sneak peek means no information about update in advance it was so awful when I was so much hyped for update.
But I thought may be update will come Early if they won't waste 1 week in sneak peeks but no nothing happened in last week.
And they started with Captain log update teaser and for those episodes too there's no date specified and last episode came 4 days ago.
And now update status changed to not this week for how long u wanna play like that if u want to release update then do it or clear which month or week it will release.
If the update is not ready then say it directly and postpone the date don't keep saying not this week, not this date.
Just post 'coming soon' and close this thread 1 more week and there will be 1 month of this thread.
And as I remember this thread is specially started beacuse update was near and 1 month is not mean near..

Update radar says that update is not this week but lach's hidden text says " speculation here. 11th of May is a Thursday. I doubt they would release such a big update on Friday before the weekend in case of bugs etc. This means the earliest we could see it is the 15th of May. PURE SPECULATION."

Just speaking from a general business perspective, but considering CoC has been hemorrhaging active players for the past year and a half I'd say that it might apply to SC as well.

So...why have you bothered making this absolutely useless thread? Are all people who are affiliated with supercell really this big with leading us on? Why make your "updates" and not tell us anything useful? I'd rather hear nothing than see what @LachNessMeowster thinks he's telling us. I mean it's good from a general business perspective to have actual data rather than wild supposition, right?

well off course you can't tell anything but are you allowed to tell us how many day log are there ? or when the next day log will be or something related to it , like are those videos not just for fun ?? they really contain hidden msgs about next update or not ? something to create hype again ??

Well SC has done something right, I posted my "i don't log in" msg and when I refreshed the page a whole page of posts were sitting there beyond mine already.

Hype is bad sometimes, the patch will have a hard time living up to your expectations, remember their "Significant increase" in star rewards? Their wording never matches our reality :)

It is quite the opposite. This thread was created precisely because the update was NOT about to come and yet there were tons of update threads everyday. So they needed a place to put all the update thread discussions and keep one main post about update news.

The last message was received directly from supercell staff is that they cannot give an ETA for the update. This was only last week. This suggests that the release date is dynamic. From software engineering perspective, it does make tons of sense that it is. There are some youtubers in Finland right now. I believe Galadon and powerbang, and possibly others. They are playing with the update and bringing back some suggestions to supercell development team. This effort is very important. We do not want to skip the beta phase when it comes to ideas. We really need the development team to take their time and implement their full wish list and full suggestions. Let is bake until it is ready.

Yeah they dont publish in weekends. So Sat and Sun do not count. Mon-Fri only.

Sure, maybe they'll see an increase in revenue in the short term due to a marketing campaign, but certainly not long term if they continue to disappoint.

And yes, you caught me!! I do NOT have SC's internal accounting files. I can tell you that they are currently 5th in the top grossing apps in the App Store. Yes that is impressive, but not anywhere near what they used to do. This would indicate a drop in revenue (or at least growth that is not at parity with their industry).

It is not a huge leap to suggest that a drop in revenue would mean a drop in active/paying players. If you disagree, find me the data that says otherwise, because I agree, 'wild suppositions' have no place here.
