By Clash with Ash's account, this update will be the "biggest and most unique". He claims it will be even bigger than the clan wars update. Most reasonable speculation I have heard so far is the ship takes you to another game mode. The new game mode may be an alternative to Clan Wars. Whatever it is, it sounds like brand new way of playing the game.
Maybe ship can be some thing delivers "the daily challenges" or whatever game mode is going to be introduced. The daily challenges mode was discussed long back. It may have even been dropped.Quote:

Just saw Ash's video on the upcoming Update and he said "Its Big and unique". He also said that he didn't expect that Clash of clans, a matured game with mostly oldtime Hardcore players, to find a way to get new players but the Upcoming update has the ability to do so.

I think the most important factor from the video is that this update will apparently have the ability to lure new people to the game. Therefore we must conclude that its open to all levels and is pretty much instantaneous.
Galadon said he would talk about on Tuesday and no word from Powerbang yet. Maybe Tuesday as well. To give us more to hype and speculate on really.
Besides the people who went to the latest livestream - I doubt any others have any hands on experience with the update. Ash was not there, so everything he tells you in his video is speculation. He should just stick to Royale...Quote:

I'm always nervous when an update is stated as game changing on a game I love incase it changes it too far from why I loved the game, that being said I think clan wars was a great addition, better once you could select who you could take. Those who have seen the update have stated they like it so im optimistic about it.
In responce to speculation of the update being a pvp mode I can see a lot of complications with match making; shield time, both having to be online and searching at same time, I suspect 'cloud time' would be large,
As for the boat could be loads of things, I hope, it's not a skin of something just ripped from another game, I'm not a fan of that. If games all have same content their individually is lost and you may aswell be playing any of them.
It could be used to load your army in and automatically search for an opponant gives you a message when match is found for you to log into game, still in clouds, but don't have to lay there staring up at them.
But could be anything, normally me and mine have a general clue what's/what type of things maybe in an update but this one has us stumped. I hope it's as good as people say.
I'm happy to wait, I do love a surprise so prefer it not to be leaked, but love the buz aswell. And people sure are creating that. 😜
What I'd like to see differs a lot from the speculation.
True PvP would be nice, but I dont see how they could implement it and not make the game just like Clash Royale or other top-down strategy games like Warcraft. If the boat was used to actively defend your base while it was being raided, that'd be pretty cool. They gave us the ability to watch our village get wasted but it'd be nice if we could do something to try to slow or stop the destruction. When I first started many years ago, I was always disappointed that the troops I had in my camps did nothing when my village was getting attacked.
I think the clan clan village is a pretty interesting idea and goes along with some of SC's other games. CR has the 2v2 clan battles and Boom Beach has operations. If the "Change Village" button that has been leaked does allude to a clan village, expect it to be similar to BB's operations.
And night mode is something that is long overdue. We have the torches as decorations for no good reason.
I think we can expect real-time PvP in this update. The only other "biggest update ever" was clan wars. Of course they could just make those 3v3 and it would technically be bigger.
Here's hoping it comes soon. I'm a max TH9 with only heroes left and those are at 25/going to 23 and my gold storages have been maxed for three weeks since finishing walls. I'll delay going to TH10 as long as possible (I was planning on going at 25/25) but if my heroes reach 30/30/, I'll bite the bullet and go to TH10.

What i would like to see is spell buff where your spells dropped also affect enemy CC and heroes. So for example you rage your troops and the enemy's CC troops or heroes walk into it then they will be raged as well.
I would also like to see CC sleep mode as well as selective bonus loot withdrawl. Another thing good will be that heroes activate ability before death during defense.
I want a pony.
