The One & ONLY Update Thread

Everything I've read makes this update seem miles away, all official posts are very hand wavy, I haven't seen anything remotely resembling a date, unless I've missed something?

Shame we can't start the hype cycles with something more concrete. There are so many annoying little bugs/things about the game, even little snippets about those in the lead up to the release would be welcome, rather than the big features.

Maybe getting rid of them is the MASSSSSIVE update.

Doesn't the fact that Lach has actually played the new update mean that it is "fairly" close to completion? I mean, surely they are just ironing the creases now?

Remember when the Dec 2015 update came out they quoted some statistic that said 80% of all raids were th snipes or whatever, this justified their actions.

I bet for the last few years they have still been keeping stats. I wouldn't be surprised if they noticed 80% of players have multiple accounts.

My newest speculation is that they are making managing multiple townhalls an integral part of the game. Whether it uses a ship or not I have no opinion.

But granting each play so many accounts would be massive.

That reminds me of AoE3 where you unlock perks and loot then take them back to your home base and build your deck. Then take your newly acquired skills back into battle.

Twist ending : the boat is just a symbol of SC sailing away from coc and leave the game for good. A bon voyage update leaving a massive chaos and grief for the millions of player around the world.

Anyway. I'm super excited to get the new update. Will just going to be patient until its ready.

I thought the same, but maybe some "important" feature was not ready yet when he played. Also, maybe they are just exhaustively testing the new update so that it won't come out buggy.

one thing is having a software play with a few users, another is with tens of thousands. Nevertheless, SC is good in what it does, and I believe in a few weeks we'll have a smooth transition to the new awesome update

Does "Update Status: Still in the works. " mean it's being tested or ideas for the update are being brainstormed?

Was just watching a powerbang livestream . He said he just got home and is heading right BACK to Finland on Monday . When asked if any other youtubers are going he responds " all of them " said he will be there for 2 weeks . So all the big youtubers will be in Finland next week . That's my one and only lil bit of update info .....Back to lurking

Speculation, speculation, and more speculation. :confused: The update will be here when it gets here, some will love it, some will hate it, some will say they quit. But COC will keep going on. I have played this game for 4 years and I will keep on playing and changing as the game changes, that's what makes it fun, new and challenging.

How many Clash of Clans team are working on the update? I read it somewhere that they have only a handful of programmers, server engineers, graphic designers, concept artists, and beta testers. They should put more human resources on the project to speed it up.

The downside of making to many changes can mean that a game is no longer fun. I have seen great games of the past be ruined by making the changes with the original to big. So, if clash becomes a completely new game with new rules etc then you might lose your original fanbase. So I really hope that Clash of Clans will stay Clash of Clans as we are used to with some added features. Please don't take away features that are currently in the game. Build on top of what we already have and don't change to much.

Seems to me equally difficult if you have 100 threads. BTW there is no real useful info beside the info that is in the opining topic. Most people want to know what is in the update and when we can expect the update and both is not public info yet.

Actually it's a plus, all the stupid in one place rather than spread far and wide across general. Anyone who knows anything true is bound by an NDA so won't be posting that information they know. Anything else, by definition, can't be "an important post with good info" so can be safely ignored in favour of just checking the first post for Lach's updates as he provides them.

I agree, but think that it would be equally hard if spread out over 50 threads and the advantage is at least the whole first page of the general forum is clogged up with update speculation threads. Also, another reason it is hard to find important posts is there aren't any yet, other than the first one of this thread.

So has anyone noticed that the "One & Only" update thread makes the following statement "What we know "aboat" the update:"

Has anyone noticed that about is intentionally misspelled as "aboat" and its in italics. It would seem to me that they are bringing boats into the game in some fashion. Just a guess but it seems logical given the way the announcement is laid out. "Its huge, its unique from any update", "Its different from any other update" etc. Well, they've never had boats before.

Just a thought, what say you?

HmmThere is no new official information in any post in any thread.
So it's best to gather all rubbish posts (include this one) in one place.

You should be asking who didn't notice it.

Also, the sticky is there for a reason- discussion aboat the update.

In COC generally updates are of 10-12 days (I m talking about max), so this build up a huge patience in us but 5months without anything is *#*#*#

I must say this is one of biggest and unique update in Clash of Clans history. A boat/ship takes you somewhere in your journey. Someone found a button called switch village. Looks like we might have another village totally different from your home village. We will see soon enough.

The massive part is the hoax they are playing on everyone. There is no update. That is game changing and never been done before.

Super-Legends: not wait in-game notification because you even don`t open the game for about 1 month. Waiting notification from Play-market/Appstore about software update...

i think we have a gap in preparation day. there is no clan activity just request and donate and chat. maybe they want to fill this day too. maybe like operation in boom beach. a massive base that everybody in your clan will able to attack that base and every attack damage will count. the ship is a symbol like sword that stands for clan war. maybe the ship will stand for this task/operation.

No, it is an AWESOME boatwreck! I believe, we can construct our second village and 'change' vilage with a button on a boat; the second can be built for 50 000 by repairing the boat, starting from TH4 (First Village).

Does the upcoming update , will do anything aboat new CLAN Perks included in it, most of them focusing on ship/boat, etc ....
Still as us, focusing on clan level increase and waiting for any New Clan Perks will be included in game.

Cmon guys, just stop it, this is going nowhere, the sneak peeks and the update will come when they come. If you really want more info just kidnap Holps or Lach and torture them to reveal the update details. It is very unlikely that their NDA's are covering kidnaping situations.

CR is fun, but is more dependent on chance. That is why I like CoC more. It's skill, not chance.
