I made a thread about how hilarious the daily update videos are, and it got deleted... :confused::(
I am pretty sure the boat will take us to the 11 arenas of clash royale as it is also an island and after seeing pic of knight , prince and ship in badge of lach i m pretty sure those islands are clash royale arenas!
Maybe its a Boom Beach colab. Since we have troops from Royale, maybe they will bring one of the Boom Beach troops to CoC. Wouldn't mind having warriors or a smoke screen

So we have another "leak/speculation" ruled out, of night mode, and I'm glad because I ain't hyped for that, I'd hate it instead.
Keep ruling the leaks out!, if you can't leak the update :)
Twist, thanks for the detailed and insightful responses. While many will complain that they are not "getting update details", some of us truly appreciate honest answers.
I'm still holding out hopes for real time battles against opponents, but without the card collecting features of CR.

I can tell you in some early meetings (circa 2012) I had conversations with the dev at the time detailing all the ideas from the forumers, but it became a logistical nightmare. They toyed with the idea of simply using GMT times, problem is still the fact that some time zones would be opposite their own actual day/night and some would always play with one advantage or the other.
I don't think the devs were against having the villages actually display day and night (with no game play changes) I wouldn't call that game related anyhow - but the actual variables the users were asking for during day/night sequences were too hard to deal with, and players could game the system by changing times/locations on their devices, etc. Plus back in this time, the devs were dealing with the early builds of things like TH9/10/11, heroes, spells, DE troops, etc that they had on their road map, and something like a graphical-only change, or something of this nature was pretty much dismissed due to "Better fish to fry".
The other issues in the early days of the game (pre Android) is Apple at that time had a 50MB limit on WiFi download size and we were at like 46-48MB. In order to represent night time, all the graphics would need to be doubled to include a nighttime object (it isn't as simple as just dimming the screen as someone said) which would have put us over the limit.
So... I don't think nighttime will come to your village as you know it.
