Honestly don't get the second base thing people keep blethering on about. Would have thought they'd have many more useful things to spend their time on. Like fixing the matchmaking in high leagues and war so that people didn't feel the need to create minis to waste cloud time or get war mismatches :p

There are legitimate hints and clues dropped by people with direct knowledge about the coming update. While these hints are not as close and majestic as the sneak peeks, they are sufficient communication about what is coming. These subtle hints are coming from this forum moderators and from those youtubers with connection to supercell, namely, Galadon, and clash with Ash. These hints that they dropped form a big puzzle and i hope to fill in the blank with extrapolated speculation or educated guesses.
There will be a boat. That boat will take you to a second base. There is a question whether that boat is readily available or if it is a shipwrecked that needs to be built. I would speculate that it is a shipwreck that will need to be built and possibly continue to be upgraded like the clan castle. This boat will take you a second base that you will build. I would speculate that it is a colony that you will cultivate. However, it is not identical to the original base. There are some difference: namely, night mode and extra creatures. There is question about the second base. What is it and how it will be used. We do not have info about it and it will probably be one of the surprises of the sneak peeks. Back to the boat, it is possible that the boat will have an offensive or defensive role in the new world; maybe it will be a transport of own army. The possibilities are limitless.
What does this all mean? It does mean that this is not an ordinary update. The amount of development effort to code something like this is several times more than a normal regular update. This is major work. So it is massive in its development scope. But also it is massive in its impact. If this story above does not bring some enthusiasm, consider the fact that some of the youtubers are return back to clash because of the excitement of it. This is truly game changing. So it is both massive in size and in impact.
Finally, the last clue that was highlighted By the youtubers that it will be in May. I really think that should be enough material to sustain our curious players until the sneak peeks come and reveal the actual surprise.
