I theory this sounds great. In practice I think it will be extremely hard to balance. Balance is a major issue for SC - no one can deny that. Adding an extra layer of complexity, or perhaps multiple layers, would get out of hand fast. Additionally, if these choices are switches that can not be unswitched there could be many players who end up with worse villages and nothing they can do about it.

again, in theory, this sounds great. I am very much in favor of a perfect system. I just don't think it is something SC can handle.
