I am enjoying it !

Hi Hay Day peeps !
I am basically a Clash of Clans player. Haven't missed playing a single day since I installed it 2 years ago.

Last week I was checking this forum and decided to give this game a try.
Believe me.. I found it so much fun and relaxing.
I took a break from Clan Wars for a few days...and today is the 5th day I am playing and have levelled up to 15.
I am surely enjoying it. Its much calmer than what I am used to...and this shows in the forum also.
Just read all the newbie guides...and I look forward on levelling up fast.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

We understand! Been playing COC for 3 years now. Started playing Hay Day about 3 months now. Am here at least 90% of my game playing time.

Still check back into COC every few hours. And haven't missed a war yet. But even war days, still mostly here.

I will always love COC....but Hay Day just that more engaging for me.

Be careful on leveling up TOO fast. You will need to earn lots of coins as each of the production machines become available, and as many of us have experienced, you may find yourself short.

Make whatever products you can and sell them in your RSS for full price. Avoid shopping in the DD too often. Add as many in game friends as you can, so that you have friends to help fill your boats and water your plants. Also, the truck orders often will give you lots of XP but the coin value of what you are giving is way less than what you could sell it for. So at least for a while, only do truck orders when they offer double coin. Same goes for boats and visitors (the beggars at the farmhouse).

Take time when visiting other farms to look for the red tool box. I don't spend diamonds to open them but quite a few are unlocked and you can get much needed expansion material. If you have diamonds to spend, now is the time to use them to add production slots to your current machines, and then any additional machines. That way you can keep the machine working for you even if you aren't actually on.

Tap on the farmhouse and you will see all of the achievements there are to earn. Most come with diamonds as a reward for each level. Some are much easier to achieve, others just take time. It's a great source for diamonds when you're new.

Good luck. The best thing to know is that we have all made and recovered from what some would call mistakes, or strategy errors.

Welcome, MeSuperStar… glad you're enjoying Hay Day! I've been playing about 3 years or so and still love it! There will be lots of times when you'll need to be patient, and there is lots to learn! It's a tough little game all on its own, so yeah; hang tough!

Thanks a lot. That's a whole big information in a nutshell as said above.
I was thinking to lvl upto 34 fast... but now will balance my progress.
Surely will keep that addition of friends in mind and the truck order related stuff.

Welcome to hayday! You can have some great game play with it. As said above don't be in to big a hurry to level. Good advice has been given but I wanted to mention that as you level more options become available that will enhance you enjoyment. One is the ability to join a neighborhood. When you get to that don't be in a hurry to jump in the first one you run across. Different hoods focus on different aspects of the game. Many of them are determined to be the best derby hoods in the game and set standards that are very demanding. For your first hood try to find one that may not be as strict on derby wins. As you level and become more acquainted with the derby I'm sure you will love it and you'll have more ability to compete in it. The wrong hood to early may be unpleasant and give the wrong experience. The right hood however, will bring you a great deal of fun and satisfaction. Read the forums on hood recruitment and make sure you will be able to live up to what they want before joining one. Have a great time farmer and hope you do well.

If I could have my time over, I'd slow down even more than I did and enjoy the process. Most of us find levelling up slowly is better (not everyone, but most) on a practical level (getting max coins at each level so you can afford the machines at the next level) but beyond that I wish I'd just enjoyed my farm at each level rather than being in a rush to get to the next one. Once you get to a higher level there's nothing to look forward to, no machines to unlock, no new things to discover. It's still nice to play, but I wish I'd enjoyed the process more along the way.

level 34 is town. I have played Clash Royale for over a year, and decided to give HD a go and I'm loving it. I have very nice and helpful Neighbours which is great :)

I'm another the made the switch at the end of 2015. Hay Day is so much more relaxing, but can also be very engaging.

You don't feel opportunity cost pressures like Clash of Clans or some other games out there, so if you miss a whole day it doesn't matter (well maybe except certain derby tasks - but you can easily avoid or manage around that).

But when you go on the next day you can easily put several hours into the game as there is so much you can do.
