What Would You Name This Base?

Hey, so I was wondering what would you name this base?
Also please give me some feedback/improvements that I can use to improve this base.
For the record no one has yet gotten to the Core, so I think its pretty strong.

That's a really awesome base you got there! The only thug I can suggest is moving the some of the outside building towards the top so it will be harder for attacks to come through from the top. Great job with the base!

How about "The Fried Egg" with that yummy yellow yolk center?

Looks a nightmare for archers though.

I doubt anyone will try for the core around 1,300 trophies but looks fairly good. Why dont you move up to 1,600 to 1,700 and test it while collecting DE?

Yeah I've done that to get DE for my BK but it was only for a few days at a time. Haha nice name !

Great base. Just some points.

1. Your TH is too far out. Since your base heavily relies on traps, I suggest placing the TH closer. Why? If an attack does fail to do more than 40% to your base, and yet one side has been entered, triggering the traps, your base will be severely handicapped on one side, allowing easy access to your core. Placing the TH nearby will make most players attack it during a raid, so you'd get a free shield with it.:)

2. Aside from the upper side stated by a post above this, your lower left is pretty much accessible to a Giant WB army, with some archers, barbs, and gobs. I suggest you address it. If I were to attack, I'd start there.

3. While dragons aren't so common in your trophy level, you're bound to ♥♥♥♥ off some people you attack and may take revenge using a whole dragon army on your base. With that, I'd take out the AD on top with 3 lightnings, and deploy. That will pretty much reach the core, and maybe a little further, before your other two AD's kill the dragons.

4. Upgrade them teslas. While you're bound to run into dragons, pekkas will do you in good as well. Better be ready for anything.:)

I like the base honestly, and I may consider using it at some point. Glad you shared this here. Goodluck with it!:)

As for the name, its best if you make you own for it, like what I did with mine. Haha.

Some valid points you make there.


1. Usually my TH is inside replaced with an elixir storage which I keep outside so I can get free trophies which I lose from farming. I only put the TH out for ppl who don't want to keep elixir out. And to make it more aesthetically look better. However to people who want to use this base please take into consideration dsbn's recommendation. Btw even with half a side without traps cause people want more free elixir thats inside the base. They rarely make it to the core.


2. This point is very true, however I mainly designed this base to suit my own needs. And 100% of the time I have 5-6 wizards in my cc, and so the standard giant spam strategy won't work. Even without wizards the giants will go around in a loop getting springed at the x-junctions. Also even with barbs/archers it harder to combat lvl6 mortars/wizard towers

3. Another good point, I have been revenged with a few dragons attacks however no one of them were a full out dragon raid. It's hard as a TH8 to defend against this type of raid because of the number of Air defenses available.

4. Yeah have to finish my walls first for a clan requirement so my teslas are slightly lacking :(, have been attacked with a few pekkas, and again they tend to go merry go round, around the outside buildings, rarely entering the base at all.

Yeah with those x-junctions, you may want to replace the spring traps witha wall.... because then enemy troops have access to 4 different compartments as a posed to just 2.... and if you don't get online after a battle, and there aren't any spring traps, what then? But other than that, looks pretty solid

that looks like a bunch of pretty wasted walls right there. You could create few more compartments that would actually help instead of just creating one with like 40 walls.

People only ever get into the second layer, and when they get there they only have a few giants remaining which dont do anything. they spring traps take care of giants pretty well, plus wiz in the cc is amazing against giants. But yes, if i didnt log on for awhile then the base would be fairly vulnerable.

Nice Name! However like i said no one gets to the core, plus the traps take care of most of the troops. so i dont need compartments. its a strange base design, and everyone underestimates it, but it works. i guess i shouldve recorded a video or something of a serious attack on it.

i think my base is more of combination of a vault and a maze type base which makes it harder to get to the core..

not a bad base, but not great either. a smart attcking farmer would not be so fall for those funnel traps.

Yes, its inspired by his design, but i think i've improved upon it. A smart person cant control their troops, and with giants having a predictable AI, its harder for the attacker to control his giants, hence easier for the defender to use the AI to his/her advantage. Typically these types of bases are underestimatede severely, and fare well agaisnt smart/cocky attackers

i always attack with 12 wbs and it allows me to reach the core of any base. I found out that i loose more troops while trying to break walls so i use wbs since then. Only bases that i dont attack are those with storages forming a triangle — there i can get 1-2 maximum and its not worth it.

Your base would take 8 wbs to get to the core. from there one rage spell and anything with damage would make a short walk over your storages.

Looks great! I doubt a farming army could get anywhere near the core.

Hmm, imo you might need more than 8 to get to the core. But yes if you used a substantial farming army you might make it. I highly doubt one rage spell is enough, maybe two at max. Where would you attack the base from? Just curious.

Thanks! Sometimes I wish I had a proper attack on my base. It gets boring when all they every get is the elixir that sits outside.

That's a very common problem with well made vault bases m'fraid. Over 90% of the attacks don't get anywhere and the rest might just go full force 5 spells and max heroes kind of attack. And on those, if the base is really working, only few actually get anything out. Take the base for a spin to crystal for a while.

Looking at the base, I'd call it "Wish I had few more walls" :rolleyes:

Haha, yes there are quite a few 'holes/gaps' in the base. Yep, will be pushing once my Archer towers are lvl 10 and AD is maxed.

I would attack from the left side or where the research lab is. There is only one WT and one mortar will be shooting me most of the times and i can pretty surely get 2 storages on that side.

First of i will deploy 10 archers to take care of the barracks and lab without taking back fire. Then i will deploy barb king and 6 giants right against WT on that side, followed by 2 wbs and another 2. Then i will start deploying barbs and archers to do damage while giants are tanking. As soon as WT dies i will deploy rest of the giants and 4 more wbs to aim on central compartment followed by barbs and archers.

At this point it depends how it goes but most of the times i think i wont use any spells will take 2 storages and leave.
Btw there is a trick of luring clan castle troops – your clan castle is near a mortar so if i drop a barb near your defences they will go out of the castle (stop when barb dies) so i can use 2x lightning to kill both clan troops and mortar.

p.s. obviously i wont attack because there are less upgraded bases with more loot but i am only level 8. For level 9 ur base is prolly a walk in the park.

Hmmm, most people attack from that side. I like our attack strategy very nice. I realised that that was a weak area so I moved the base closer to the edge to give people elss space and cramp them up when attacking. This however, probably won't work on experienced attackers. You would be gone if you didnt Lightning my CC troops (always wizards) cause they would wreck and giant army. I had a TH9 struggle on my base, just managed to get 50%

I would attack from lower right side, where you have a tesla and 2 small bombs in front. I would guess you have traps there (no one leaves a gap in a wall without a trap) so I would start with few barbs in the beginning. Once traps are triggered/visible I would send my giants (I train 10). They would quickly reach your tesla and destroy it. Their AI means they will not go around to the top right where you have the other gap with spring trap (too far), instead they will try to break the wall to the Wizard tower. In any case I will send (3) WBs as soon as tesla is out and they will break the second layer of wall to allow access to the wizard tower. Another round of WB would target the third layer and open the vault. Of course it may happen some WB will not reach it but I always keep 10-12 WB with me.

Once the vault is open, raged barbs and goblins would clear it in 2 seconds.

Of course this is all in theory. But I have a very similar base myself. The only things different are that I don’t have gaps in my walls. There are 4 AT in the 4 corners and 1 hidden tesla each on 3 sides. Then giant bombs and spring traps in each crossing at the corners. The hidden tesla serve 2 purposes:

1. When invisible they will zap WB before they break the first row.
2. Once visible they will attract giant so they will start going around the perimeter of the base instead of heading for the core. Actually I keep them inside even when upgrading for this purpose.

It is working great with my base. I have had many decent attacks and have made several adjustment to my base (e.g. putting teslas along perimeter I did after I noticed that giants would head for the center instead of going around).

One thing I cannot see though from you base is if CC is lurable. In my layout it is impossible to lure CC out until attacker have broken inside the first walls. It makes big difference.

Giants will go to the other spring trap place on the left side(closest) even if you send wallbreakers, most likely dead by the wizard tower and archer tower.

I believe for my base you can't burst in with giants only, plus a few tier one troops. Your only gonna get into the core with high damage troops such as wizzies, pekkas(if they don't stray)

btw cc is not lurable.
