A bit simple, but allow 2-3 fish per area instead of 1.

In the fishing area, you can fish 1 fish then you have to wait 1-3 hours (or more or less for purchasable areas I don't know). I think it would be good that sometimes, as an added bonus, you can catch more fish in one area before having to wait the hours to use that area again. This could be as common or as rare as supercell or you farmers like. I think it would make fishing a more enjoyable experience.

Someone recently suggested a special fishing lure (maybe purchased with diamonds?) that would let you collect multiple fish. I bet some combination of these two ideas would be a BIG hit!

What an interesting idea! It could be that when you catch a fish others continue to leap, and the gull doesn't land, so that you can cast another lure straight away.

If that was done randomly - and fairly rarely - it would add a new dimension to the fishing area, without putting too much strain on the lure maker.

Personally, fishing isn't my favourite pastime, so something like this could make it more interesting.

My new idea is as follows...

If you catch a fish you have already caught, you cannot catch anymore

If you catch a bigger size/size class, you can catch an extra fish

If you catch a new fish, you can catch two extra fishes.

Yes, someone mentioned having the fishermen fish for you and/or make the nets, lures, duck floats, and lobster traps. I thought that was a great idea.

I think the fishing area is overdue for some attention from SC. With ducks and lobsters, it can be tough to balance the use of the fishing holes even with all of them open. I'm doing okay, and I keep my fishing area constantly working; but some new fishing options would be nice.

• I love WheatLand's idea of having a fishing hole occasionally stay open after it has been used.
• I haven't seen a fishing booster, but it would be very nice to have something like "reduce reset time for fishing holes by X% for 12 hours".
• Occasionally there is something like the Halloween ghost or the fireworks tub that floats by...it would be nice if there were something like the farm toolbox or town treasure chest that appeared in the fishing area and, if it opened, presented you with a fillet/lobster/feather.
• I love the idea of hiring Angus like Rose/Ernest to fish for us!

I agree with Wheatland, bigger sized fish should be more fish fillets.

Besides aren't fillets pieces of one fish? So we should get more when we catch one,
