I was wondering if it is possible to get to the champion league, without spending a bunch of money on gems. I'm still a while away from getting a good enough village, but I was just wondering if I shouldn't even try to go for the achievement.

If supercell doesn't come out with another townhall soon yes.
If your active enough and have patcients to cook a good troop comp, yeh I don't see why not
It's pretty hard though, you'll have to stay on a long time for your army to cook and if u don't gem or farm really well, you'll be 3 starred a lotQuote:
