Seems like a lot of work... actually would be a lot of work. Not sure I'd like to see new buildings that are essentially for UI only and requires SC to do all sorts of balancing. It's not like you can just add willy nilly (and we all know how tricky balancing proved to be).
Plus, where would one fit these extra buildings? Maps a bit tight as is.
You could say most of those words for nearly every possible suggestion?? Anything new into the game would require a lot of work and some form of balancing?
Anyway - you are right about the space, but SC are a smart bunch so they could figure something out. Maybe they could remove 3 of the obsolete barracks and one of the dark barracks?
Maybe rather than several 2x2 village huts, there could just be one 4x4 building simply known as "Community" which when clicked upon, showed the current population.

The barracks are not obsolete if you actually understand how they work and the purpose of upgrading them in combo with the new training system. As your suggestion is purely a UI "improvement" and adds nothing to gameplay its wasted time and money.Quote:

The barracks are obsolete buildings. I completely understand the training concept thank you very much. Do you still click the barracks to build troops though? Didn't think so. They could have one building to house troop training rather than 4, and still work off the same concept.
What exactly are we defending in this game? I can only think of 2 answers. If you say loot then think about this realistically... The only reason we are playing FOR loot is to upgrade defences to protect loot? Illogical.
So we must be protecting the town hall? What is so important about a town hall that needs all this protecting? No one lives there, just a few cleaners...
I get that you don't like the idea. You are more than entitled to that opinion. I've played this game since December 2012 and I'm more than happy to keep playing and defending illogically... But FOR ME: If I had something more logical to defend, it would actually begin to make more sense.-
Oh, and your last comment about "pretty little villages" is unnecessary. If you are not smart enough to understand the reasoning behind my ideas, best not to comment at all.

If barracks are obsolete by use of a button why would SC add more obsolete buildings for things that there are already buttons for? Cosmetics??
Loot swapping, increased villagers apples for gems; one third of those ideas is long ruled out. The others questionable at best.
I'm all for UI/graphic improvements like night/ day, seansal themes or skins for heroes, but this is not the answer IMO, not things will affect gameplay and require balancing
I like the idea of having different buildings serve as the portals into existing functionality, it would allow them to remove buttons from the screen for less clutter. But a couple things in there were suggestions of additional functionality. Putting aside thats ruled out, i did have my doubts that this was good functionality to add anyhow. But if you cleaned up the idea to just the cosmetic parts where buildings in the village are replacing buttons on the screen then it would be a pretty cool thing. And creative too.
Bank is ruled out by SC. But the others are really good. They could be implemented in the next big update after the coming one...
