At this point in the game, clan wars can become a casual gameplay mode, as they pretty much already are, and those who choose to exploit the system can be considered casual players while they do their thing, which is perfectly reasonable and fair. However, many of these groups will transition over time so long as the rewards system is lucrative enough.
Just a thought. This would be my business decision based on stated design philosophies and how well received clan league play has been. If a group of people can set these up and run them, it can be automated. Any system will not be perfect, but this would be a significant improvement on what we currently have...
If every war in one month felt the way Pot Luck wars feel, the community in general would be much happier. Our group experiences a fair war maybe one out of every 4-5 farm wars we spin with significant advantages existing for one side or the other. It's difficult to take the outcome of these wars seriously given this, but we have to spin or our team won't be as sharp for the fun wars, like Pot Luck and arranged.
