Variety at TH9 is good right now.
GoVaHo is really strong.
Just LaLoon is also.
And if you're looking for a high % 2 star or even a 3 sometimes without any real skills or attack planning just use Mass Valks.
HPHB is a nice variant on HGHB. 3 pekkas and 3 healers instead of 12 giants and 4 healers (or whatever the HGHB comp is). I think HPHB is a bit stronger because pekkas will kill heroes and ground CC troops.
Pretty much every one of my TH9 attacks is queen pop though. Check out cast n blast on youtube for it. Gist of it is zapquake an AD, lure cc with a few loons, kill with queen protected by a few archers, then standard laloon from there.
