Would anyone else like to be able to block certain followers? I like to keep my shop well stocked to help my followers who are generally really great but the odd one will raid my store and take all the 'best buys' leaving nothing for others. Perhaps there could be a limit on the number of purchases made at any one time - at least raiders would have to consider what they buy rather than snatching everything. I know this topic keeps appearing but has anyone any other suggestions?

Yes you can unfriend someone but that's not Hay Day functionality that's Game Center and Facebook functionality.
Not sure I would want to be able to block followers. I understand it is annoying when one follower raids all your stuff, and this does happen to me too, but they also help me out with boat orders, so it's generally a mutually beneficial relationship.Quote:

However the idea of limiting the number of purchases that you can make at any one time is an interesting one and it may be one way of easing the problem without singling out a particular follower. Maybe you could suggest this in the Ideas and Feature request thread. :)
I'm a new player and am figuring out this game by trial and error. I cleaned up my farm and eliminated all the puddles. Now I am overrun with frogs--clusters of them and they won't go away. I'm not at a high enough level to purchase a pond, so I'm at a loss for what to do. Any one have a suggestion?
I had a follower that I'm pretty sure camped out on my farm and bought everything. Literally everything. And they were beginning to interfere with trades. I changed my farm name to "please unfollow *insert their farm name here*" and it worked! I debated upon if it was too rude to do or not, but after the numerous stolen trades, I decided it was the best thing to do. Maybe it could work for other forum members pesky followers. Unless their rebellious. Then they would stay out of spite.
are you able to buy the small pond? If not, I'm afraid you're stuck with the frogs until you can obtain one. Once you can get a pond, place it by the frogs and they will hop into it. But that doesn't mean they're gone for good. If they come back after that, move the pond away from them and then place it back near them.Quote:

I purchase my feed back and change my farm name to "Not Cool (insert name)" then I go back to their farm and purchase every other item in their stalls so that they can see my "new" name.
At this point I'm hoping that they'll feel uncomfortable enough to unfollow me but no, they're still there. If I couldn't see their name as before I'd be none the wiser, but this is "Not Cool."

I see what people are saying about there being bad feelings on the part of the blocked follower, but if they are ruining the experience for someone there should be some way for that person to rectify the situation. The only way now to try to get someone like that to unfollow seems to be selling useless things in your shop for long periods of time, which also doesn't help your friends and may not work to get them to leave. Alternatively you can change your farm name to something that directly asks them to leave. Which causes more hurt feelings? Having the ability to block them so that you quietly disappear from their friend bar or changing your name specifically telling them they are not wanted? I think blocking them and disappearing would be less hurtful.
edit: I currently do not have any "problem" followers. The bad one previously left when I called her out in my farm name. I am afraid I may have hurt her feelings and still wish there was some other less confrontational way it could have been handled. The inability to block her left me being a bad guy in order to keep playing.
I have a very nice friend who sells at bargain prices in her shop. She changes her farm name to 'please buy only three' or variations on that theme, but apparently that still doesn't work. Sometimes I will do a whole row of things for one coin and I'm really pleased when my newbie friends manage to get them, but more often than not a high level player will clear the whole row. I think it would be really obvious that they've been priced like that for a reason but apparently it's not. Whilst I don't have a follower problem myself I have every sympathy with the with people who do. And I'm sorry guys please don't be offended but I don't agree with the 'once it's in your shop it's for sale' attitude. I think that's fine if the goods are at full price, but for a lot of players the fun in this game is from helping other people, and if the greedy ones are spoiling that for them then they have a valid problem. The best thing I have seen so far is a player on this forum who has a note in their signature, asking people to share and not just to grab everything. I think this could be a good way of spreading the message, but of course so few people actually use the forum.Quote:
