Well, at least someone agrees.

so instead of expanding into the Forrest we expand into the ocean. Just becuase its a decorative feature doesn't mean it cannot be used or expanded upon. I want the waterfall back but it doesn't mean a unit had to be created. But the water opens up many more possibilities than a forest or a waterfall.
I like your idea maybe Creating water unites like sea monsters to attack the sea buildings!
Oh really what are these possibilities? How would they work within the context of the game? You're dodging this. I submit that the game would be greatly worsened by having to fight on multiple fronts simultaneously. It would be a real drag to drop troops in different areas and not be able to see what is happening to the various areas you are not focusing on.
What would be the goal of the water troops? Why wouldn't I just ignore them for the land based stuff? If you're suggesting that the water based stuff would somehow bring an advantage to offense/defense for the land based stuff; how would that work?
If it does bring an advantage, would the land based stuff bring an advantage to the water based stuff? Could I attack one thing while ignoring the other? Would there be an order? If so, what would that do to the length of battles?
Also what is to be gained by adding a series of units, buildings, and resources that merely mimic the ones that already exist but work in a different environment?
Lastly Consider earth has several different biomes:

Why aren't we talking about those? Why has no one proposed that instead of being bordered by forest on three sides and ocean on the other, that we don't have desert, tundra, hills, etc? Each one could have its own set of troops and buildings. We could fight a war on 5 fronts simultaneously and battles could take 60 minutes to complete.
I'll tell you why. Because every single person that says, "Add naval units" gave no thought whatsoever to it.
there does not have to be a whole new base setup. It could simply be a fast fire ship, created in a dock, which would e added as another building. You seem to think we all want a hue new arena but thas not the case. It could be as simple a small ship with long range. There could be a hero unit called lord nelson or something. And no i have not be "dodging" te question, in fact i answered every question you asked.
people just dont get enough out of the land units already. honestly, theres no need to create water units. people that create threads about water troops are those kinds of people that want to be glorified for creating a marvelous idea. this fact blinds them of the games true capabilities and mechanics. fighting on 2 fronts would be ridiculous, people should quit creating these ideas of naval warfare. i appreciate the scenery and the ocean, but starting a brand new method of battle would send the game spiraling out of control. i have to agree with dahimi, not about removing the beach, but about not having naval units.
