What I'd also like to see is some recognition for the folks who have played up from the bottom, largely without buying our way there. A statue available to people with 50 or more achievements would do - shouldnt cost much but would be nice to see at a glance that you've put in the hours!
Perhaps show the number of gems used in the player profile?
Supercell will never reward non-gemming (because gemming is what makes this one of the top grossing games). But showing the number of gems used might be a bit more ambiguous than 'I bought my entire base for $12,000'.
But I would agree- I am pretty proud that I haven't spent a ton on gems and still have a good TH9 base going (I did buy my 5 builders and a bit extra).
Oh yeah I've bought a little stuff too but I have a mix of level 9 & 10 walls and I worked for them. Not asking for a reward as such, just a little statue :) what do you think to a goblin? Would be appropriate for the farmers...
Maybe can be a coller stuff, just like an Witch and her skeletons, but only when you have all achievments 3 starsQuote:

Gems spent isn't necessarily personal information-
Gems are earned through achievements, landscaping, and purchasing. Its a bit of innocuous data. Perhaps spending 15000 of them might be a give away that someone is buying, but certainly people can spend a few hundred without having it be personal.
We already have profiles that show you all of the achievements earned, right? Some of them take a lot of time to get? Showing the amount of gems used in game to date might be a similar indicator that isn't really a piece of privacy information.
So far i have only used 200 gems. 12 of them was used for money (at town hall 2 for Clan Castle) i used 50+ on troop gemming, spell gemming, mine boots. I used the rest when my device went into a state of momentary lag. It stopped working (as usual) so i got annoyed and started tapping on the screen, and it was guttering at the time. It turns out i spent 100+ gems on finnishing an upgrade (i beleive it was archer tower) and due to the amount of gems i had used i am quite proud of myself i used about 80 gems before my 100+ gem accident.
i also feel for the non gemmers who are being pounded by premature town hall 9 or 10

I don't see the issue here. Its not the last 4 of my credit card #. Its not the balance of my Bitcoin account. It does give a clear picture of people who EARNED what they got (in game of course) and those who bought it. Maybe I could create a clan that had a cap on the gems you could have purchased?
When you hae made your money through raiding and upgraded troops and a town hall 9 or 10 use 5 or 6 level 2 pekkas, yet cannot afford level 3 walls but still has an inferno tower xbow and level 4 heros then yes, it tends to become a real problemQuote:

The fact that you make a distinction between those who "EARNED" what they got and those who gemmed shows how juvenile your attitude is. Those people pay for you to play. Whether they gemmed it or farmed it, they earned what they've got just like you did. They just obtained it through a different means. You spent hours in game, and they have been more successful in life. Personally, I think they've got the much more attractive package.
I wish I had the expendable income to have little concern for dropping $10k or more on a game, but I do not.
Either way, it's none of your business.

this isnt an attempt to open up the closed conversation on gemming but just to state that I never wanted gem usage stats on profile, which I totally agree would be inappropriate. Just that it would be nice to have a small statue to hard work, based on achievements gained. I still think that this is a valid topic for discussion :)
