"Surrender" option in war

I think a 'surrender' option should be added. During clan war if one of the clans have gave up because they know they cannot win, then they should be able to surrender.
It will result in end of war so that new war would be started. It is better than waiting for battle day to end, knowing that the clan won't win under any circumstances.
Only leader shouldn't be allowed to do it. There should be a voting system in which members in war can vote if they want to surrender or not.
If a clan surrenders than a request should be sent to the opponent clan that if they want to accept it or not.

This is a good idea, though I don't know about the voting part.

What good does it do? You still gave to wait until the end of the war period before collecting winnings and starting another (so a cool down timer would be needed). Otherwise they would have to reduce bonus and xp if clans are collecting faster than every 2 days. As the winning clan I would not want to give up anything. Plus some of the remaining guys might want to snipe.

About the only use I could see is if it freed up guys to do a freindly war while they waited for the cool down timer to run out. If thats what you mean then all good.

You are right but every opponent clan won't surrender in war while some might do. Atleast in some cases war will end earlier if not in every case. And this is a suggestion supercell can do some modifications in it.

it's like nexting on another level

This has already been suggested and there have been reasons for not doing it.
It could lead clans to do a few attacks, surrender and start a new war just for xp.
It also promotes cowardice.

This is tru, and, i think that only the leaders should decide, but it requires both clans to agree to surrender, but the clan which offers to surrender first, should lose the war, and not get any xp, therefore this will not promote xp spamming, or cowardess, also, one clan should have to send the request, the others can choose to accept it, so u cant just opt out. U can send a reason why if u want, but the clan will lose, and not get any xp and loot, and the clan the accept will get all xp and loot.

There should also be a system of marking cowardly clans, clans that surrender alot, like a "Coward" stamp or something, on the description, or somewhere else, somewhere where any1 viewing the clan will be able to see it.

I think that's a good idea

even if this happens and my clan will lose, i wont hit the surrender button and let them wait till the war ends

The modification would have to be either forfeiting loot (which almost guarantees the winning clan wont agree, its not 'some' like the OP says, it will be almost all that refuse) or a cool down timer before war can start again. And the OP should explain what the purpose is if they have to wait for a cool down timer anyhow.

i think this idea goes against the spirit of the game.... fight until the end. its not like you are losing real human soldiers or destroying real houses so there is no point giving up.

to be more objective immagine how many cases geniunely would need giving up, and imagine how much more times people would try to give up prematurely if the idea is implemented; it's obvious the downs outweigh the ups

I wouldn't mind surrendering if the other clan has to accept the surrender (only leader can call for surrender and only leader could accept). Because (probably already pointed before me), some guys may not be active until enemy surrenders, they wouldnt get a chance to gain some free loot.

You people know that there is already a surrender option in multiplayer battles if people use it when they think they cannot win then why won't they use surrender in war?
Some clans won't surrender doesn't mean that nobody will give up.
And there are certain points which are balanced out in updates eventually. So, with some modifications this feature can also be balanced and will bea timesaver for war loving clans.

This is a great idea.
The winning clan should be able to accept or reject that if they want the other clan to surrender or not as they can reject it if they want their player to loot and accept it accordingly.
I don't see any problem with this feature.

It will not be a timesaver as wars still need to take 47 hours. Why should SC waste time and resources implementing an essentially useless feature?

If you want to surrender, stop attacking and put "we surrender" in your clan description - that will have the same end result with the bonus that your opponents can still continue to attack for their XP, loot and practice.

If someone put we surrender on their clan description then it will not end the battle day as you have to wait for battle day to end.
But if this new button is added then it may lead to end of war and all the winnings should be rewarded at that time.

The solution could be - clan cooldown, like you have war cooldown if you leave during war day. Players would also receive cooldown, so they wont just go to another clan to war. I agree with you. :thumbsup:

Why would they have to wait for 47 hours?
If during the first 20 hours of battle day one of the clans surrenders than war will be ended. Lets say if a clan surrenders at 16 hours then 7 hours will be saved.

Because noone would surrender - enemies will have advantage of starting cw earlier. Thats not a good thing as it would make imbalance and could lead into surrendering immediately wars that couldnt be won.

Because SC do not seem to want clans to be able to accumulate XP any faster than is currently possible. rwelsh already went through this.

And 24-16=8, not 7.

Player war timers would definitely have to apply so a player has to wait the full 47 hours before they can be in another war. That would be to prevent collecting extra bonuses by warring, attacking then surrendering quickly, hopping, and then warring again.

Also there would need to be a clan cooldown still because if it was just player timers a 50 person clan could speed up xp collection by doing shortened 10x10 wars swapping the members each time. They could have 5 rotating armies for constant xp collection. Clan level rewards (xp) would still need to be rewarded at the 47 hour interval.

About the only reason a surrender could help would be to allow them to do a friendly war to keep busy while they wait. (But that actually might be nice and not exploitable if surrendered already). And loot can go out early. Sure a person might then collect two purses close together, but they would wait longer for the next one so on the overall they do not average less than 47 hours between them.

also it does not need to be agreeable by both sides. One side can surrender if they want to be free for freindly wars, but the other side should be free to keep going. That way a losing side can call it and do friendly wars while the winning side's members can keep sniping to fatten their purses.
