I have not purchased any with real money, but am constantly clearing and saving up for some builder huts.
Bought the Sack of Gems for my 4th and 5th Builder's Huts. Earned 3rd Builder's hut and the 500 gems after.
I have not purchased any gems at all. Started the game in March of this year, now I'm a lvl 80 TH8 with half purple and half skull walls, 4 builders, and about 70% maxed.
I love that I haven't spent anything on this game and feel a great sense of earning everything I have now and where I am in the game :)
I spent $15 just because the game is awesome and having 5 builders is nice as well.
