I am a Th9 and would like to get some ideas from forum about ground attack strategies and army composition (without bowlers) which I can use in war to get 3 stars. I used to attack with dragon and balloon but it fails miserably and because of those most often my clan loses in war. I searched the forums and online but all the strategies posted are at least 1 year old. Would like to get updated strategies and army composition.
Hogs and/or Valks.
What should be the army and spell composition?
There's no cookie cutter set of army comp and spells. Go on youtube, and watch the basics of the basics of 3 star strats. Please don't be the type that asks for an army comp then fails to execute it correctly, go back then complain.Quote:

Why just ground? Dragloon isn't strong at TH9. But LavaLoon is. If you are used to air attacks you should learn that as well.
Without Bowlers, I would suggest GoHo at TH9 can be very effective.

GoVaHo should be the best at TH9. It could be interchange with GoWicHo.
GoVaHo was my goto war army at TH9. It's a little harder now that Valks are more squishy and the BT can wreck hog raids. But IMHO, it's still the most versatile army comp for a Th9. You adjust the hog to Valk ratio depending on the layout. Tigher cubical bases, require more hogs less valks likewise more open compartments require more valks. Spell comp is key there. If only like 7-8 valks you need a rage. Otherwise one jump and all heals. Being able to pop cc, and funnel valks to core and queen is the secret to success. Laloon is also a powerful attack at Th9, however Laloon at Th9 is more risky than govaho. It's often either a 1 star or a 3 star. Where as govaho is often a minimum of 2 stars pretty easily.
