Don't go to th 10 unless your a gemmer

I am TH9, I am personally looking forwards to TH10.

I dont plan on going until at least all lvl9 walls and lab is done (making use of sweet availability of G & E at th9).

I am not too fussed about maxing heroes due to the loooong time it will take and the fact de will more readily available at th10 (extra pump & better army for de raiding ;))

Hang in there and see if you can adapt your raiding so that you become more efficient.

As for going from 12m to 1.2m?? Surely even if u hit only th8's your profits would only be halved to 6m?

Been exactly a week since TH10 completed, the loot does suck. I wish i had more time to play but at 2 hours a day game time I can only make 400-600k where at th9 could easily get 1.5mil-2mil in same time frame )1400-1800 trophy range). It might sound like I'm complaining but I'm trying really hard not too. I think SC will add something in the next update or two that will address these loot issues. Until than I slowly save up for expensive upgrades and have a few unemployed builders, still better than watching ♥♥♥♥ reality TV.

PS Great job Zach and Bill on the forums for starting great threads on options to increase loot, way better to bring options to the table instead of just ranting.

dual infernos and triple x-bows are very attractive. I will go TH10 once i am maxed at TH9.

I'm loving town hall 10! When i farm i get good resources. Farmed level 4 pekkas and dragons. Both took two days though but still not so bad

Agreed. 80% L8 walls are about all I have the patience for, especially after I dove into the deep end of TH9 and loot fell off the map

it is correct that th10 can be harsh on non gemers but with a mix of luck and experience as a farmer you should be fine, its not gonna be as good as th 8-9 but its not gonna kill you

if your at town hall 10 and your at, say 1000 trophies, and your base is premature, then theres definitely a reason to complain. people who rush their hall and farm with a high level town hall dont get much from the low level bases, so its best if you tighten your belt and go on up the ranks because you wont find anything where your at now, if your farming that is. if your at the master league and your still making bad raids, but you see that theres plenty of loot available but you just dont get them all, its just your raiding skills. otherwise, i dont know what the problem is besides struggling with a premature base. thats the worst mistake anyone can make.

Th10 comes as a shock to many people, but its's viable. I posted a hybrid farming strategy for gold and DE somewhere if you're interested in searching for it. I'm currently experimenting with farming in masters III for the loot bonus. My impression so far is that low trophy farming (15-1800) is still better, but many TH10 farmers are bored with it at this point, and I want to experiment with masters for a while both for entertainment and in fairness to the new system before I drop back down to a farming range.

I can definitely see the truth in this.

I'm currently around 2700 go wiping and always in profit.

Not sure I'd pick this over traditional farming but I am still a lowly TH9!

doesn't work like that because of fixed costs (i.e., gold spent on searching/spells and elixir/DE spent on troops)

leaving DE out of the equation for now, say at TH9 you spent 70k gold searching for bases/spells and 100k elixir on troops. if you raided TH8 bases with 180k/180k loot on average, you would generally net 110k gold and 80k elixir at TH9. thus, with enough raids, you could hit 12M per day.

At TH10, however, those same TH8 bases would only give 90k/90k loot, and you'd net only 20k gold and you'd be going negative elixir (thereby relying on pumps). basically, your gold intake at TH10 would be less than a fifth of the gold intake at TH9, and your elixir intake would be infinitely worse.

those numbers are completely made up, of course. but going from 12M to 1.2M a day sounds entirely possible.
