Indeed, the ideas subforum change is a clear statement and a step towards a calmer forum. The same kind of policy could be applied to other areas as well.
For example, to people who complain about global chat bans, one could write something like this:

I think there are some dozen "stock complaints" that surface on daily basis that could all use the same policy as "read the sticky-reply is a no-no". Most of such topics don't hold much conversation value, but to the one posting them, a properly formulated, clear and friendly reply might alone be enough to diffuse the situation.
I asked this question few pages back. I'd still prefer option C, but option A seems to be the one selected. :rolleyes: Maybe C is too much to ask :)
