Engineered new TH11 Upgrade path

So my profile tag is #JJOJYU82 in case you want to look at my village, but to summarize I'm a near fully maxed 9.5 that is hitting th11 in about 10 days. I've heard different strategies for what to do at the beginning of th11 and just wanted to get as much info as possible before my builders finally go back to being busy 24/7 again.

Main question - just give as much elixir to warden as possible or work for cc at first? I know for sure I'll save up enough dark to put queenie down as soon as th finishes, gold will go towards the elixir storages, and lab will be going down as well - but with the remaining elixir to I just feed the warden or should I prioritize the bigger storages for elixir and eventually cc?

From posts I've read in the past the general consensus seems to be warden, warden, and more warden, but I'm typically at the top or in the top 3 of my war lineup and my concern is that if I drop warden right away and don't level up for awhile that I'll pull heavier th10s or eagles into the enemy lineup. Thoughts?

CC uses gold to upgrade.

CC and elixir storages uses gold, so there shouldn't be any conflict between GW and CC.

Overall advice as this is what I am planning on doing is, GW and AQ as the main priorities, once you plonk down the GW buy the 1 million resource pack so you can upgrade the CC ASAP, that is assuming the the resource pack will switch from the TH11 resource pack of 2500 gems, GW and EA once you get the GW.

bad advice... OP is an engineered account if he buys the TH11 pack the eagle will be added to his war weight even if he doesnt physically drop it on the village...so th11 pack is ruled out

did they prove that items not placed add to weight? because my th10 (9.5) with the inferno floating in no where placed land still pulls mid th9s as its equal constantly.

I told you yesterday. This is not true. It doesnot add war weight.

Buy the warden with elixir and the th11 pack will go away. Then buy the super cheap 1M resource pack to get that cc upgrading. (I've done it on 2 accounts in last month). Then pump elixir into GW as much as possible. Try to have him up during wars because he is like a mini freeze. He does add offence war weight which is taken into account when matching but offence weighs less than defence.
Gold can be used for traps, ht, as, ad and walls. I went for ht first as its the most versatile. When your elixir starts maxing because GW is down for a week, upgrade lab and any elixir units you use (giants and babies for me)

My upgrade path=

1. BK or AQ
2. Bowler or Hound once lab done

If you are at the top or in the top 3 then continuing to engineer your base is probably a bad choice and many will say it's going to start hurting your clan, if it isn't already. Up top you should be the anchor, so give serious thought to becoming a max base.

Why havnt u dropped infernos? I know u guys wanna face easy bases due to lack of skill, but man. 11s gonna tear u up in mm

Gonna have to take a detour from my original topic to clear up this big misconception about engineering - engineering takes advantage of the lack of skill of the ENEMY, not the attacker. How you gonna call me unskilled at attacking based on this assumption? I've logged every single result of every single raid in 121 wars in my clan, and in the 115 that I've been in I've averaged 2.67 net stars per war, meaning I add more than 2.5 stars than my base gives up on average. Granted some of that average comes from being a 9.5 and picking on 9s that aren't cleaned up, but I also 3 star th10s on occasion. And yes, th11s roll me all the time in MM but winning wars is more important to me than keeping resources that I can make back in 1-2 raids.

Anyways, thanks for the feedback guys. I have only bought gems 3 times in my 3 years of playing and one of those times was to buy my clan-mates gems, so I probably will just straight up farm the resources. And yeah I realize cc takes gold but if you're not buying the resource pack you need to upgrade the gold storages first that use elixir.

Actually I think it's you with the misconception. The point of engineering is to draw an easier enemy, one that is outgunned basically. Some engineers are indeed very skilled attackers taking on bases appropriate for their offence strength, and some are not skilled but rather living off bully dip attacks. What engineering aims at is to draw an easier opponent, be that easier only comparing certain lanes (may well not be your own but rather elsewhere in lineup) or easier overall in a more holistic manner according to the particular draw. Structurally it creates a war where the other clan need to be not merely decent attackers, but good to superlative in quite a few cases to stand a chance at winning, while the engineered clan need not have such a high level of skill to pull the win. That's not to say some engineers aren't also very good attackers on top of the matchmaking advantage - that's seen when you don't simply win but completely crush the enemy clan by a large margin. So what engineering takes advantage of isn't the enemy's lack of skill so much as the skill differential that would be required for the enemy to win a match set up in such a way... basically they'd need to be better than most ordinarily need to be in order to win, whereas the engineers need only be about as skilled as anyone else (or even slightly less skilled) to win by a small margin, and more skilled than average to win by a large margin.

Do you differentiate between "draw an easier enemy", "don't draw an enemy I can't handle" (rushing smartly) and "draw the same enemy while making my attack stronger" (.25)?

I think the second is very common; folks want to rush, or to do some other kind of goofy thing (I have a no-DE troops account as a gimmick), while not hurting their clan in the process.

These other reasons are subsets of drawing an easier enemy, but drawing the easier enemy is not the primary purpose of engineering the account; people sometimes engineer for war weight on the side, so they don't hurt their clan while engineering their base towards whatever other goal amuses them.

I mean yes the goal of engineering is to draw easier opponents somewhere in the lineup, and in the cases where you have clans made up of mostly high lvl THs where one clan is extremely engineered and is able to field just more wardens in general this is when engineering works at the matchmaking level, but I honestly think SC has squashed a lot of the less extreme cases of engineering for matchups in recent updates.

My clan does 10v10s up to 25v25s with ths ranging from 7-10 with really only 2 accounts that are actually engineered with a few that are the .5 build, and as of late we are seeing far fewer matchups where we look at the other team and know we have the match won right away. Its actually been really fun the last few wars because we've had a lot of close matches and tiebreaks, often thanks to the fact that the average th10 out there is only 3 starring my 9.5 base at most 1 out of every 5 wars, which is why I said that engineering, at least in my experience, is beneficial due to the lack of attacking skill of the enemy. But yeah the goal of engineering is to get a better matchup, but the actual mechanics of winning comes down to whether or not the enemy can take advantage of the fact that your defenses are weaker.
