If CatLady is open for new neighbors I'm sure it would be lovely if you are around when her crates open up for you to help fill them. The helper who is here when her boat comes will help her decide which crates to open and coordinate getting her boat filled so I am not sure which crates that will be yet.

I am fine thanks. It is a cloudy and chilly day here today, but I am happy the heat of summer is saying goodbye for awhile.

lol I'm a hoarder... thankfully I was able to upgrade my barn and silo last night, now my capacity for each is 225 :D

i wasn't on the forum when I did my Cap III, so had to do it by myself. It's nice to have help right. But I've never done the TT III. I haven't felt that brave yet ha ha.

Exciting that you are almost done. You will have to think about coming back for Turbo Trucker when you have finished Captain. Post #3 has some great tips and info about that.

I may be getting back to it later, though. The boat docks around the time I have to leave for an appt... Who knows? I may just quickly open up crates and run out the door... Depends on what time I feel I need to leave, with the roads being wet and all...

You should read post 3 and set up a time when you are ready for us to back you up. It's completely possible to do at your level. I did mine at level 63 with no problems

Hi, I would like to say a big thank you to the helpers here for posting on how to prepare for turbo trucker 2 and 3. I am very proud to say that I have completed both achievements at level 51 on my own. I did TT2 yesterday and did TT3 today.

Nink i can't emphasize enough what Gigglechick said. We just had a level 65 do her TT3 the other day. She didn't need help but all of us were here watching behind the scenes ready to lend a hand. It's all the excitment some of us who have no lives get. I understand the desire to go it alone, but please come back and let us cheer you on.

I did the thing on the ipad where you hit the home button twice and the apps are in a line at the bottom, then pressed on it until a "-" sign appeared, and pressed that. That is what shuts down the game completely, right? Anyway, I'll be back in a few hours!!

Yes. The boat will sit in the river and wait for you to open HD up again. One thing... you may still get a notification that the boat arrived... DON'T open HD to check!!!!

The crates are actually for fish pies. I would have enough time to finish the pies if I had enough fillets. Fish pies would certainly be welcome.

Just got back from the dr... and the boat just arrived :D It wants 3 crates of 12 popcorns, 3 crates of 3 chili popcorn, and 3 crates of 5 cherries.

Thank you to Nink for the chili corns and cherries, I can get those no problem :D

BUT I only have 5 popcorns stocked up and 4 more in production... so I will need help with those.

Post 3 has well written instructions and I've tried to prepare.

Level 40 with about 26,000 points until level up.

Prep:
Between 5-10 items from production machines.
The first orders are ticked. There are a couple that have 1 pizza, so my barn has 7 in order to have 5 after those go out. No orders with metals or jam are on the board.

Exception on the 5 of each: Jewelry has 2 necklaces and 4 bracelets.
There are 4 platinum bars, 9 gold, and no silver.
Dairy: only 4 goat milk, 0 cow's milk. The rest of dairy are 5 or more. No eggs in barn.
A few extra popcorn and breads.

9 fish fillets (2 go out right away in first runs) and 9 bacon. (Have to shop for bacon if need arises; no pigs.)
The 6 chickens are ready to lay and 9 cows to be milked. The 3 goats are about 15 min. from ready. The 5 sheep are ready.
7 wool in barn.

The barn is full. A few items are by machines.

I have coin enough to purchase items.

From C111 these helpers are still my neighbors: Lisa LR, Mary SC, Ruby, and Roya. Tiggerr has joined up with boat help now and is a friend as well.

Any other suggestions about preparing?

AFTER we say start - come to my farm and buy the wheat on sale....that will mark your official start time (I will not put wheat up after that)

then send truck after truck away and kept trying to send the trucks requiring the least number of items per ticket

while waiting for the truck to return look over the board quickly to decide which one would leave next and check for possible problems (ie 2 orders that each need 4 goat cheese).....

after you have cleared the first 9 orders (original board).....come back here and make a quickie post.......like 9 trucks away....all green ticks still

if you see any potential problems arising, post them so we can prepare on our end for you if needed

OK, so my son tapped on stuff again, as I'm down 2 dynamite sticks and up a few gold, silver, and platinum ore... but how exactly does the mine work? Is there anything that works better than the other (TNT vs dynamite stick vs shovel)? I did have an ore quest for my truck, but I deleted it because that was back before I had enough gold to open the mine...

Hello Captain Cat! Basically the different mining materials gives you different amounts of ore.. Shovel gives you most ore, followed by TNT and small dynamite sticks. You cannot get ore any other way, I'm afraid. The trucks only ask for metal bars, which is made in a smelter. So without a smelter, the ore and mine is not very useful on its own... boats won't ask for metal bar or jewellery. Hope this helps. :rolleyes:

I actually haven't gotten my captain III achievement yet :o despite my constant HOARDING of dairy and sugar and cakes, etc. I'd like to start now. My first is wheat and pumpkin and pizza. I've covered the pizza but cannot plant pumpkins as I have potato and peppers and indigo and strawberry and tomato already planted in the plots. I think I need at like 20 pumpkins? I have 9 right now.

To begin, please go to your white house and look up your captain achievement. It should say x/xxx. That will tell us where you are at the moment.

The boat is actually not here yet but will be in 3 hours. Will the boat's time at the dock change only if I go on to hay day after it comes, or will it just run on the clock without me having to get on hay day? When your boat is NOT at the dock, you can close down your HD app and the boat will not arrive until you open it again.

I have. But adding a photo is hard for me because other players on different iOS devices have this photo box thing on GC but I don't :( so that's the complicated part.

Are you on iPod or iPad1??? If so, you are right, you can't add an avatar unless you can use a friend or family member's iPad or iPhone to do it... it's ok.

Hi all! FYI

While trading LEMs yesterday, I came across one of my neighbours who generously offered to be my back up, so we attempted TT2 and lo and behold! I finished the whole 20 orders without her help. I couldn't believe it, it was so awesome! Totally great to know someone was there in case I needed help and I lucked out - orders kept coming up already ticked.

The guidelines really, really helped me prepare. I had a minimum of 6 of everything and it really worked. Thank you for taking the time to share your advice and help. Am stockpiling again for TT3 while also trying desperately not to level up, so see you on the trade boards and in your shops! ;) (anyone got metal bars that I could trade my LEMS/BEMS for? see trading expansion items thread :o)

I never have bars, but someone one the trading thread will surely want your BEM at least!!! :)

Come back if you wish for TTIII backup... it can be a "bit" more challenging!!

I managed to fill the rest of it I just need four more white sugars. I posted that it said I would need wheat white super and raspberry but I managed to fill everything surprisingly :) except for the last box of 4 white sugars. If I messed up on the first post I'm sorry.
