Many of you know what a farmer is, but if you don't know what a farmer is here is a quick definition of a farmer.
Farmer- A player who leaves Town Hall (TH) out of his walls, doesn't care about trophies, and protects storage's very well!
Step 1: TH Debate
Leave your TH out of the walls or range of defensive's. You might be saying, "WHY?! THEY CAN JUST STAR ME AND LOOSE TROPHIES!!" Well, yes, they can easily star you. But they can freely give you a free shield in return. Which is what we want, you want to time the use your shields so when you are sleeping you have one, or not clashing that you have a shield so no one can steal those resources. Now make sure to get your trophies back when they are getting low.
Step 2: Trophies
Trophy ranges. Trophy ranges can vary on how you plan on attacking. Usually you want to be in about Gold III (1,400-1,599) That is where all that gold and elixir is at. There is a lot of gemmers, quiters, or even good players in these trophy ranges, but we want to mostly attack the gemmers and quiters. because they usually have under-leveled defensive high level collectors mines. and a lot of resources.
Step 3: Army Comps.
Army Compositions. Now this is one that depends on what the player like to use. A good basic farming composition is the Lazy Farming.
Lazy Farming: 6 Giants, 6 Wall-breakers, 50 Archers, the rest is goblins. Usage: Use the Giants to distract the defensive's Wall breakers do get into the collectors/mines/storage's. Archers to clean up buildings, and goblins to get the resources.
Another one is the 50/50/30/10/10.
50/50/30/10/10: So 50 archers, 50 goblins, 30 barbs, 10 wall-breakers, 10 giants. Usage: Deploy the giants to distract/ destroy the defensive's wall breakers to bust those walls, archers/ barbs to help destroy/steal/ or clean up buildings. And deploy the goblins to take the resources. This one is one of my favorite to use.
Any other that you like. Like I said this really is the players choice on what he uses.
Step 4: What to attack?
When Farming a lot of players look at the mines and pumps to steal resources. That is why we go for the quitters/ gemmers, because those are usually the people who have full pumps/ and mines. Now my philosophy is that 130k+ gold/elixir is a definite attack. But depending if it is an easy 100k gold in the collectors, that all i have to do is place like 15 goblins then I'll go for it too. Now, if you do get a good player with a lot of resources and that they are all protected, then that is your call. Make sure that you are getting back of what you spent in that army composition. Now make sure to analyze the base before attacking, don't go into now knowing what/ how to attack the base. They give you 30 seconds, so use it. If you need help with how to attack look up PlayClashOfClans on Youtube and go to his Let's Plays.
Step 5: Base
Make sure you are maxing out your TH,.Walls, Defensive's, army camps, storage's. Barracks and Mines are optional. Also, make sure you have a suitable base design for your TH. Make sure your storage's are very well protected! If you are having a hard time coming up with a base, you could always look on the forums, or Clash Tactics (app). Make sure you are fixing the weak spots on the base, use the traps (bombs, Spring traps, air bombs) Always make sure you have Troops in your CC! centralize your Clan Castle with troops inside of it! remember if you are not protecting your storage's then there is no point of raiding. because they can just steal them. Also make sure not to overflow storage s, and plan your builders schedule of what to do! Make sure to use the max leveled troops that your TH can have to raid!
Remember these steps for the basics of Farming! Farming is competitive, it's first come first serve! Make sure you are the first to come.
