Diamond confirmation

Sorry if this has been discussed before.
Why are there only certain things that can be protected with the double tap? I mean who wants to accidentally use diamonds?
Just now I used 7 diamonds to donate 1 single apple... I guess that could come down to carelessness but there's been other time where my farm has froze or the game has lagged and I've been lining up production, all of a sudden I'm missing something stupid like 1 wheat and my diamonds are gone.

7 diamonds might not seem a lot to some people but I've never bought any so I rely on the mine, leveling up and events etc.

The game itself is extremely generous in giving out diamonds from my experience, I just wish I didn't have to worry about using them as soon as I get them.

I have always thought we need an "undo" button for those times we accidentally click on something we didn't really want to do.
