Permits are disrupting the business of gold farmers?

I just realize the main benefit of the permits which we must acquire to unlock the land with the new decorations. The permits don't take up space in our barns and can't be sold. Those who run bot programs to harvest BEMs, SEMs, LEMs, TEMs must be alarmed because Team Hay Day launched a salvo to abate gold farming. Increasing the drop rates of permits and requiring all of us to use them for barn, silo, land, and town expansion may be Team Hay Day's next salvo.

The above is speculation on my part but I hope it's true. :)

Interesting theory that it is designed to disrupt robots.

Personally I view it as simply a means to delay all farmers from getting the new land immediately. As typically high level farmers who own huge barns with hoarded LEMS or those that trade for them could quite easily unlock every bit of land in one day. Putting them back into the boat of 'well what do I work towards now?'

With permits we all have something to work towards with no shortcuts available.

But I guess it's an added bonus that it's something the robot farms cannot try sell for real $$$.

I don't see how requiring permits will disrupt the bot farms considering that players still need regular expansion materials in order to complete the new permit expansions.

I think what daz258 has said is more along the lines of the real reason for the permits. It keeps things interesting for players who are above level 80. It also adds quite a bit to the derby, since there's a larger selection of derby prizes and the ability to use boosters for the derby. I'm already looking forward to selecting my prizes at the end of this week and love the derby even more now.

Perhaps this one is just a trial to see how it works.

So far I have only one permit even though I play a lot.
I am having second thoughts about this. Perhaps if all expansion items were treated this way.
Like the vouchers.
Cant be bought or sold and no extra storage needed.

We would still have to find these drop items so it would still take time. Could still buy them with diamonds if we were impatient or rich.

Very good point, I think the drop rate of Maps has been tweaked twice to try 're-balance'. The way permits are we at least won't have a repeat of those Maps taking over the paper again.

I just wanna say Congrats 🎉 to the person who thought of the permit idea!

FINALLY, I can go to the boat leader and his land looks just like mine! lol!

In the future, this kind of tool would be great and would definitely be useful in reducing the bot farms. However, one wouldn't want to make all expansion materials like this because it counter acts the benifts of joining a hood and trading.

SC doesn't care how quickly a farmer expands. The purpose of the permits is to generate excitement & get people to use daimonds to open more boxes. I did just that & with little play time, found all of them. I've noticed probably 100 or so farms that are completely open.

Precisely why the permits were introduced. To get impatient people to spend diamonds. Haven't spent a single diamond opening boxes. Have spent some reshuffling tho, but after "seeing into the future" XD

Actually, when the DD is flooded with useless maps, the fault lies with SC and their unbalanced drop rates. SC tweaks it and the complaints go away. It's that simple.

But now, permits might be the new whine. XD
