That's how many axes I had in my barn at some point , they just keep coming ! Enough already ! On the other end , only a couple of deeds since update . Where is the balance ? Come on , Supercell !
On the off chance that someone has the opposite problem , pm me . Not holding my breath though .
I find the more I have of something the more I get back from town, harvesting, pets etc. If I need planks for example, once I get to a certain amount, I try to hold off using them for more to drop.
I agree with sj1719. Recently, I found myself with lots of axes and very few saws. I hired Tom for a day and built up my saw inventory so that it was up near the top of the items in the barn (tools/expansion materials) and voila--more saws started dropping. There will always be a "short" item in trios needed for building or land expansion, but the more disproportionate your numbers, the more disproportionate they will continue to be.
Since you are an old-time farmer, you probably already knew this. Farm on!
I think where drops are random there are bound to be instances where it seems that one item drops more, or even less frequently than others. In the long run it should even out.
I recently had over 200 axes and only 16 saws so I know what you are speaking of. I just took advantage of all the extra axes and planted and sold extra coffee beans.
Nick has said several times that there is no system created that causes farms to drop one item more or less frequently than others. Despite this many of us find our farms drop much more of one bem or sem than the others. I've been farming for almost 3 years and I STILL get much more planks than tapes or bolts. Many more screws than panels or nails.
Perhaps software really does have the ability to learn.

I have 434 axes and 328 saw, but me and all my hood stop geting mallets. We together got 3 mallets last seven days
