I Can Never Get Enough Resources.

I'm reading the forum posts on farming and people are getting millions of gold and elixir and thousands of Dark Elixir every day.

On the other hand, I'm able to get 400,000 gold/elixir and 500 Dark Elixir maximum from my usual 4-6 raids. Is there something wrong?

I'm not losing much from defences but I can't accumulate enough from raids at all. I lose about 100,000 per day from defenses.

I have:

Level 4 troops(working on 5 but need to get more for lab, which is why I'm eager for more resources)
TH8 (premature because I can't get enough resources)
180 troop population
Barracks up to Dragons.

As I said, I don't have trouble with defenses and I'm mainly worried about attacks.

What I usually do is have 1 Healer, 12-14 Giants, 20 Barbarians, 30 Archers, 1 Dragon for cleanup in case I get 49% or something, Level 1 Barbarian King, 5 or so Wallbreakers.

I'm currently farming in Gold 3 because above that the bases are REALLY hard. I just blow up the first line of walls with Wallbreakers and put in my Giants, take out closest AD, deposit Healers, then put my Barbarians there and surround the perimeter with Archers.

However, I CANNOT raid very well against TH8s or even less likely, TH9. Thus far, I've only had one successful TH9 raid and he had Level 3 Walls and empty X-Bows.

So, any tips? Most of the raids I do are TH7 and they don't have much loot or else they're maxed out or close to it.

dragon ain't really that great for farming..

lose the dragon, put up another healer and see what happens.

once you get level 5 barbs and archers jus use bout 80 barbs 100 archers 2 giants and five wall breakers with that if the base isn't the best you can 3 stars th 7 and get their loot if not go collector raiding

Train 2 barracks of archers, 2 for barbs and in one with barbs put in some wbs before the barbs. Then, just farm collecter bases. Once you get set it's super easy to make 2 million a day. Wit that army comp you can raid 3 times in an hour.

I do a simple farming army of barbarians, archers, and goblins.i get so many resources that I've been having problems with full storages. You should be upgrading 1 barracks then the three with gobs archers and barbs. I dont use a exact amount the troops and i usually dont go with a full army.if you don't upgrade 1 barracks then train archers during the day goblins at night. Try the army it works well.

That is not a great farming army imo. When I was a TH8 I used 8 wbs, 8 giants, 60 barbs and 80ish archers. Try to only attack bases that will net you >1,000 gold per troop.
So:
- 120,000 gold in storages that you will need your full army to get = skip
- 50,000 gold in collectors that you can get with 20 archers = YES! By the time the attack is over your army will be ready again!
- 300,000 gold in storages in TH10 base. Use your judgement, if you can get over 200k attack it, otherwise skip.

I can tell which bases are good to attack, who can't?

I can't get the resources FROM the good bases. The weak bases that I find have no resources, and the only ones that have good resources are very strong.

I have tried the armies but I'm not sure how well they will work, since won't it be hard to get to the storages?

Here are my questions:

Is Gold League III a good place to farm for TH8?

How many bases should I flip through? (I usually skip 6-8 bases per raid)

Should I be raiding with full army and go for storages or with partial army and get collectors?

Please answer these questions and tell me how much I should get per raid on average.

When I was TH 8 gold III was perfect

I flip through a heck of alot of bases to find exactly what I am looking for. I use a barb/archer army. 80 barbs, 100 archers, 4-8 wbs. I look for bases where the loot is in the collectors. You get more bang for you buck that way, and you can easily 50% a base going around it with barbs/archers without getting into storage units. You can use this strategy for any base, reguardless of TH level if their collectors arent protected behind alot of walls. Most are not.

Go for the collectors. They are usually exposed, and you can get more from them. It takes awhile to find what your looking for at times, but it pays off in the end. Use as few troops as possible, only worry about getting a star if you need to maintain your trophy range.

I'm exactly where you are, th8 with lvl4 troops, I farm around 1400 with archer barb goblin, full collectors only worth of 100k+. Your army is more suited for cracking cores once AD is gone. Concentrate on bases with weak Air Defenses in Gold III and don't attack anything below 150k.

It's called picking battles you know you'll get enough loot from i aim for 200k+ gold every raid and I'm TH9 with the BAM army check it out
