Glitch or ingenious trick?

I have a friend whose farm is always in my needs help list. Often the boat is full and I can never find any bushes or trees needing watering. Any idea how this farm is always asking for help? I often go through this list before I scroll the rest so this farm gets visited a lot more than the others. :confused: How is this possible?:confused:

I also remember seeing a post with a signature indicating that the poster always keeps their help flag out. I didn't understand at the time and of course now I can't find it to ask them.

Is there any benefit to getting more visitors this way though? I'm trying to figure out why someone would do this intentionally...

One way might be to have a bush or something hidden back behind your house where nobody can see it hopping.

This is a well known and long standing glitch that was temporarily fixed and is now back. If you look at threads from about 2 months ago and back, you'll find tons of complaints on this "stuck in help mode" issue, including posts from staff noting that they are working hard to fix the issue.

It's not as glaring this time around as it seems to be only one or two of your friends getting stuck this time. Before, there were often several stuck at the same time for days and even weeks. In the past week or so, I had one stuck for 3 days, and another stuck for about 6 days.

i saw that person's signature too and forget the ID too haha :D But I finally get it, I think what he meant is that he always open the '!' tab inside his Hay Day game, so he'll see who needs help and help them if he can. It doesn't mean that he always make sure his farm has '!' because that is not possible. Well... it's possible if you flag a bush and hid it somewhere but I don't think it's good to do it and nobody will (I believe people is good essentially :))

The only benefit I see is more visitors means more people seeing your shop has something to sell. Free advertisement? It works on me. Even though I do it all the time, scrolling from farm to farm without leaving the shop, means I have to scroll to the end to see if those last slots are full or if the entire shop is empty. Due to a lag sometimes, my finger hits a slot with wheat and I end up buying something I don't want. Then my barn/silo gets full and it's work work work, back to the farm, sell something , try to find the last farm I looked at, hope what I want is still on sale, etc etc etc. boy the way I talk, you'd think, I was actually walking to these farms and working up a sweat. ;)

That reminds me of something my son said the other day... He was playing on his own farm harvesting a bunch of crops and wool and he set it down letting out a big deep breath "Whew! Farming sure is hard work, huh?"

And I want to say: "Kid, you're eight! You don't know the meaning of hard work yet! Wait till you can get on the mower and then we'll talk!"

Yes this stupid glitch won't seem to go away! Sorry your still seeing it though, I also got it again after the "big-fix" and I know SC is aware of its return.

I suppose one could plop a raspberry bush with a "!" behind the house?
What happens then? Would the help sign remain permanently up?

I have a follower that doesn't play regularly and the "help wanted" exclamation stays on their name occasionally. I think what happens is that they play and put out a "help wanted" sign on the boat or tree and they then leave the game without responding to the help wanted sign. The sign stays up for me to see until they come back to the game, which is usually several days later. I can tell when they have been back because the animals have been fed, or they have put something out in their stand.

Also happened to me several times with a follower. They are at low level with few trees and bushes to revive. There is no chance I miss them but I can't find anything to revive. When the player comes back (put something in his stall), the sign will be gone.

My son has a signature that says he keeps the help tab open and what it means is that he plays on an I pad where he has the room and he keeps the people needing help across the bottom when he is playing. When a new person comes up he goes to see what is needed and if he can help
