How to change your clash of clans name

I want to change my name in clash of clans does anyone know how to? Because my name is knives and I sound like a emo and people are teasing me

You can't change your name.

Your two options are:

1. Start over with a new account.

2. Grow thicker skin.

I recommended thicker skin.

you could TRY and send an email to the support team, there is absolutely NO GUARANTEE it will go through but maybe you can get a name change

Try contacting devs. Maybe they'll find it a valid reason...

There was another thread raising the same issue.....what it said is: unless its extremely offensive, such as including racial slurs, they don't really change it for you.

Supercell did this so it was made easier to "code". But thing is you were told at the beginning you cannot change your name.

As has been said this is not normally possible - as there is no permanent history of who you are other than your name the name is the way that others recognise you by, it is very possible if you could easily change your name a player could troll a clan, change their name and then come back and do the same again.

Daddy, be more mature. Big boys don't say troll! Haha, but seriously support team can help you, MAYBE, but then that, grow a pair or make a new account.

They will not change your name at all. I have tried and support will not do it. The only way is to start over with a new game center account.

You might be able to change the name by going into your system and go into the app script and edit it from there, but I strongly advise and Email, but that's just me

Talking about above mentioned things are a big no-no. And against the TOS.

To OP
The only way to maybe get you IGN changed is to send message to SC. They might consider it if your name is offensive or you use your full name.

Hi,

If you want your name change there are some requirements, your name name must be offensive or contain both real first and last name to be changed. If your name meets on of the requirements then contact support.

To contact support:

Open Clash
Press the settings icon
Press Help And Support
Press Report An Issue
Press Other Problem.

If you can't access the game, or don't have an e-mail setup on your device, you can directly e-mail them at:

clashofclans.feedback@supercell.net (iOS) clashofclans.android@supercell.net (Android) and support will help you as soon as possible. Provide all the details of your problem.

If you have emailed them directly you must include the details of the village as well!

DO NOT DELETE THE PRE POPULATED DATA!

If you don't get a reply after a month or two please post back stating your ticket number.

They could just charge 2,000 gems to change your name and also make a way for Supercell to keep track of a person's name changes.

That's actually a good reason to be allowed to change your name (inapropriate name), try contacting supercell. There's a button below this page.

Names can be changed by contacting support if they are offensive or contain personal info (first AND last name mainly). Otherwise they are unchangeable and will not be changeable in the forseeable future.
