To the team's credit, they do always do their very best to fix it quickly. :)
There are known issues that have never been fixed from who knows what update? So I respectfully disagree.

I agree Hay Day acts quickly to resolve any issues! Just think about all the programming and behind the scenes things that go on to push out the update to millons and millons playing HD let alone on the Apple and Android devices. Things are bound to happen.
As many as it takes.
Yes this update has/had quite a few issues a bit more then usual. I'm not denying that and SC too wishes it had gone more smoothly and doesn't like the inconvenience this causes the players.
There's all sorts of different types of issues. Some are easy to fix others aren't, some need a simple maintenance others need an optional or even mandatory update, some are more urgent then others, some surface also surface earlier then others like the issue with the buddies task which can't surface until a derby is running.
Generally speaking when they've identified, managed to reproduce and found a fix for an issue they will try and deploy that fix as soon as possible instead of waiting and saving it until more show up and then having 1 fix all solution. We also have to keep in mind that not all players are playing all the time. Some will be sleeping and some will be otherwise busy. So they might not even have experienced certain issues and they like to see it fixed so they won't have to experience it.
Take yesterdays Tom issue where he always sleeps for 2 hours whether you decline or accept. I don't have Tom hired so for me it's a non issue. Had I been sleeping the maintenance wouldn't have inconvenienced me one bit either. As a workaround Tom now always brings 9 of something because it needs a mandatory update to fix completely. Now all in all it wouldn't have been very fair or nice to make players who have Tom wait more then a full day for something that can be improved in a short maintenance.
So they try to deploy fixes ASAP as in the end it would be less of an inconvenience to do so. And I for one have had diamonds twice now with all the maintenances besides the 5 update diamonds while I really didn't have much of an inconvenience at all. So for me it's a good trade. And yes there are still a few lingering issues (not just from this update) which have been around which have proven very difficult to fix if they even can be fully fixed at all as some things are more prominent on the device end of the spectrum.
So next question what about testing ?
I know it sounds hard to believe right now but they do test their updates thoroughly in the dev environment. That said dev and game environment are very different and you never can know for sure how things will unfold in the live environment. Think of it like a dress rehearsal or rehearsal dinner for an event etc. why do these go well when some things always surface during the live event when it counts ?
I think it's great that the Hay Day team works so hard at resolving issues resulting from an update!
We got a lot of new stuff this time and I can only imagine how difficult it must be to make Hay Day run smoothly for everyone!
Agreed that so many maintenance breaks in such a short amount of time can be frustrating. Especially when you have boats and tasks to finish on time. But it's worth it in the end.
Thank you Hay Day team! You're awesome!
