All TH9's got worked

Just finished a war against a level 10 clan with over 250 wins. Their top was a TH9 and we had a baby TH10. They steamrolled ALL our TH9s with a killsquad I've never seen before. Giants, healers, pekka and wizards. Hogs were used on the side. We're not talking rushed TH9s, we're talking maxed defense with heroes in the 20's. Of course they had max troops for their TH level, but their heroes weren't that beefy, only in their teens. They had one guy with his queen down get a six pack on 2 bases with max defense!!!!Say what???? I've tried this strat on FC and could not believe how horrible it worked for me. I consider myself a proficient attacker with 950 stars and could not get the same results. The only thing I found successful was finding all the spring traps with my hogs. I went back to watch the replays again and noticed that they seemed to miss all the spring traps on the first try......Is that knowledge learned after 250 wins? Anybody else heard of this strat?

Sounds like HPHB. Yes, it's one of the best strats at th9 ATM. I'm guessing they also used baby drags and bowlers in cc?

And no, missing traps is generally just lucky.

one guy had his queen down and only a level 10 king. 3 star'd 2 max defense TH9's

We faced something similar too. I don't want to say it loud but they're probably bunnies

Maybe you guys don't run the best bases. Just because you got tripled doesn't mean they're modding. There are people better than you at attacking. Accept this and move on.:)

I'm talking Th10s with infernos and anti 3s getting 3*ed using hgh. 9s are fine but a 10!?

Base building at TH10 isn't the easiest thing. Especially if people who don't know the meta properly attempt at it. That's what happened with Killer Bunnies and Immortal Thieves pulled off a 9v10 on them

I find only two solutions -

1) You are lying and this never happened.

2) You attempted building an anti 3 but it had a terrible outcome.

Sub out a pekka for 5 giants and you have a generic HGHB army. Pretty common strat, but has been out of the meta in higher level wars for a couple months now. The strat isn't hard to learn with a bit of practice. (Personally, I never really liked it. Classic CB LaLo/GoHo is my fav.)

War weights? Lower level TH10s, such as 82-83k, sure. Infernos won't be a big deal even with inferno islands (on that note, did they have inferno islands, to prevent bowlers hitting infernos?), so triples can definitely be possible if the bases aren't exceptional. And some 9s can brute force through lower level 10s.
