I think it should be most liked , therefore most relevant.
Not necessarily indicates the person who commented as I don't believe that is particularly important.

Maybe I am a tad old fashion and don't really care about my reputation as long as I believe I am doing right by others and making this place an enjoyable place for others to come too.

Yes. FRS seems a bit useless without half of the functions and certainly the garbage has started piling up again.

Did find it a bit telling that some those who cheered the end of down votes were those who... nevermind. :smirk:

Change the word 'were' to 'are' and you're spot on 👍

Reps are poorly done since you don't really see a rank change unless you're a super active and productive members, which makes no difference since people would recognize you for your username and not how many green-strips you have. We need reactions. Not such a dumbed down system like this.

When you get a downvote just because someone disagrees with you, his all friends will come to support him when you complain about his downvote. That may lead to more downvotes by his friends like a gang war. It can be easily abused.

I'm really tired of seeing this. Show me three instances of it happening. I don't think you, or anyone else, could even come up with one. Not to mention, as has been said MANY times, it's something you can report, have undone, and have those responsible face consequences

I didn't.

Honestly would you waste time PMing all your "friends" asking them down vote someone? I wouldn't.

If this occurred a simple report of the abuse to a mod would rectify this and could cost one or more persons their account.

If a poster makes a well thought out respectful statement pro or con on any hot button issue they're more likely to receive at least as many up votes as down votes, if not more.

Up until removal of the down vote FRS seemed to working as intended.

This is why it was kept out of off-topic, but they would abuse the upvote. They are anyway. They have a thread there where they say as much. See something they like in off-,topic and they go to a different sub-forum to upvote a person.

If rep stays we need the down vote back. I don't think it is right for this forum. But I have been told my idea isn't an option either. (A bad post can be hidden by community rule until mod can review).

Idk, this seems to occur often in global.... if the peeps from global should come to the forums instead all bets are off and a new level of chaotic-ness will be achieved rivaling the dark Dec. '16 times.

i agree with this, the downvote was always the bigger threat to combat toxicity, people can be quasai toxic or post semi rubbish now and as long as its not infraction worthy and feel no concern as it is without any consequances. I agree the forums tone changed almost immediately post change. I would vote for the reinstatement of the downvote.

I even feel less pressure to be friendly myself, and i think the pressure to be friendly made me act more friendly, which results in a better forum experince.
