What would you do if after a trade deal had been agreed, the deal was cancelled because while waiting for the trading partner to be ready, the post owner was offered with another deal that was much better than the one previously agreed?

Been there plenty of times.
I use to make a mental note and send a plague of locusts to their farm to say hello.
i would trade with whoever comes first, even though i may find someone who gives me a better deal 2 secs later. its not nice to cancel so i wouldnt do it but i know there are others who do.
Oh Gosh I was always praying this would never have to happen to me and luckily so far I've never experienced this. I mean as the person who gets better offer. Once or twice it came and for some reason, the less interesting offer fell through, whether the other doesn't respond for quite some time (not my fault if I take another offer) or something else happened. I'm also wondering what would I do in that situation.
Still looking for opinions.
I'd move on with my life and not sweat it. And make a mental note to not trade with that person anymore.
What can u do? All trades should be a gentlemen's agreement...but the person u were attempting to trade with decided to jump on the better offer...it's the real world. U didn't lose anything, find another person to trade with and blacklist the culprit.
I'm pretty forgiving. If you think the relationship with this person is worth working for then maybe give it another try. If it seems like they just dismissed you for another trade and would do it again, then make a note of that and avoid them in the future.
But really, I don't think you need to search this thread for someone to tell you how to respond to this situation. Everyone's sensitivities are different, you know? Follow your own heart and do what you think is right. In the end what matters isn't what we as a general consensus decide is right. What matters is what YOU think is the right response.
