Help flags and farm names.
If a farm has a help flag up but a farm name that says something like "don't water" or " ! only for derby task" etc do you still water? What if that farm also has a boat flagged with dairy, seafood etc? Do they expect help then?
If it is a friend/follower/forumer I don't water. If a boat is flagged, if I notice a boat is flagged, I would fill it, unless it was something really easy like produce.Quote:

If one of you lovely friends pop up on the ' needs help bar I rush to your farm,if you haven't changed your farm name to ' don't water/ help ' then I count to ten( V quickly if I'm on a help task !)if no-one helps THEY'RE MINE !!!! LOL. If I've got to a farm via the DD I probably don't even look at name/ message & water & fill crates if I can .
I don't even read names. It's all fair game to me.
(That being said, I did have a FriendBook friend who changed their name to "Do Not Help" and I just unfriended them (after a few days with no name change). There's no point in being friends if I have to ignore your help requests.)
I'll always look, if it says something like "save ! for derby" I'll respect it and leave them alone. Same with 'don't buy last box/boxes', I'll respect those too.
Obviously there are no rules against you ignoring such requests; but why do something that will intentionally annoy another player? That is ethically wrong!
I've never seen a case of a tough boat request left with "save for derby" etc. If it did, I would probably respect it too as unusual as it would be.
for my NH I won't water or boat unless they say. If it's from the newspaper I just help.
If I notice, I will respect the request and not water trees. I would assume it doesn't go for boats though, especially if it was a difficult boat.
I follow a couple of the posted methods when visiting friends' farms even if there is no "don't help" banner:
- I assume that boat crates are there to be filled regardless of whether a Derby task is on.
- If a see quite a few bushes/trees flagged, I wait for a bit to see if someone else jumps in. I make the assumption that if the flags are for a Derby task, the neighbor is waiting right there for the flags. The reverse is true, too. If I am flagging things for a neighbor's Derby task, I only do it if the neighbor is online and waiting; so if you see a bunch of flags on my farm, they are fair game!
If a name asks me not to water I respect that. I have occasionally watered and seen the name change afterwards but sent a message to the farmer apologising.Quote:

If it's an unknown, then no, I won't fill their difficult crate, if they want to save the good stuff for their NH, their NH can do the difficult stuff too.

Yes that was the case on my part. I ran over and watered and also filled crates. I didn't see the notification till after I had watered a bunch of trees. I sort of tiptoed away. :( OopsQuote:
