Highest Trophies Without Gemming

Hey guys, so once I max out a TH lvl 8 base I was planning on spicying (is that a word) my game up a little bit seeming how I've never in my CoC career gone for trophies. I'm not able to buy gems very often I bet I could buy like maybe the 500 pack once a decade maybe... And I was wondering what is the highest trophy (or cup) level you guys have gotten to without buying gems regularly? Buying gems for you builders and maybe a little after that, but not over maybe 50 bucks? I just want to know how much someone has actually gotten without gemming. Or I could sum it up to this question: at what point do you have to start gemming? But hey I like to type.

I've spent $10.00 CAD for my fourth builder.. And the highest I reached was 2421 trophies... But I was not getting free shields.

Yeah I'm curious about this too. What's the highest trophy count you can possibly maintain if you don't gem? At what point do basic troops become useless and we have to start using pekka / dragon armies?

My friend reached 2590 without gemming 200 archers.

200 barbs might even work at 25xx. As alot of towers are not walled.

bought smallest gem pack to get my fourth builder cuz nephews accidentally used my gems,.. TH8 made it to just over 1800 but couldn't find enough gold to continue at the time.

I've made it to about 1600+ or so at town hall level 8, I'm not actively seeking trophies though, completely happy running a suicide mission for good loot.

to be honest if high trophies means hour long wait screens I'll pass on that!

I don't think you can go too far with 200 archers. At 2000 trophies you have to search a long time to find bases which you can 1 star imo. But untill 2000 trophies I guess it will carry you safely there :)

2300 but I was already using pek, I was attacking every 2 days

Bro I guarantee to that 200 archers can take u to at least 2600. Try it urself just make sure the base can get 50 percented. But u will hav to deal with many rages from getting 1 or 2 percent off.

I don't understand why we can't have a good trophy range without using gemms.... I don't use them and I have pekkas; mortars 7; dragons 3 etc... So why, I can't have 3000 trophees for example?

We are in our trophy week and I can tell after 1900 it gets tough using cheap troops.. Can't imagine anyone breaking 2100 with standard low level troops
Most of the bases are TH9. Double x bows after 1900.. So if you can then you are way better than I

I don't know what I'm talking so its okay, and this has probably answered my question the best, thanks man. I wonder what's the highest non gemming with th 9?
