I'm almost maxed out on my base for TH7 but not anywhere close to 10,000 dark elixir should I go to TH8 and get barb king or keep on TH7 and try to build it up?

i'm upgrading for th8 at the moment.
my focus was to maximize everything, and now in the upgrade to th8, i started to farm dark elixir for the BK.
In 2 days i get enough for the BK wich i have now.
If you dont have time to farm DE, then wait for the drill and with patience you will get enough for the BK.
If you've got everything else maxed, go ahead and upg. BK isn't worth holding up progress for.Quote:

If you go to the 1800+ trophy area theres lots and lots of de for offer, what trophy level are you at @OP?

You should look at a few DE farming guides, I suggest you max your barb king to lvl5 at TH7 cause you'll get loads of high DE loot at TH7 compared to TH8 the lvl1 drill is rubbish IMO, and will take you forever to get the BK, you can use my guide or any others to find out how to get DE quickly
Do whatever is going to be fun for you... I would't worry about spending days just trying to get 10k DE, when everything else is done (personally, I got King level 4 at TH7, and was dissapointed I didn't get level 5 at the time, then about a week or two later the DE was flowing in and I easily got him up a few more levels in a few weeks).
You have about a week to spend during the upgrade anyway, so that's a good time to have some fun raiding and see what happens - push trophies, look for DE, you never know, you might easily get the 10k DE as well as plenty of other resources, all of which will be useful once your TH8 is ready...
