No one is suggesting that viewing goes away completely. Just have the 24hr cool down. If I go to top players to see a base and it's locked, I'll just go to the next. Plenty of max bases out there that wouldn't be locked.

This is happening in our current clan war. The enemy 6, a th10, hit our 1 and 2. The enemy 1, a Max th11, moved to a lvl 1 clan with a single lvl 17 account. This has to be modding activity to practice. I agree with your suspicions for sure. Anyone pm me if you would like to discuss in detail.

Quite simply, although people in this thread are now going against this by point of QoL, I'm not sure how a minor 24-hour QoL change is greater than allowing modders to keep going. Ridiculous.

Even several people in this thread have seen this, and we are a small amount of the forum, and the forum is a small amount of the community as a whole.

I believe this would be fine to implement this.

And in terms of viewing top player bases and moving a wall to stop viewing? It can just show us the previous base that isn't on a 24-hour cooldown for viewing?

Im sure this has come up before and mabey wont work for reasons i dont understand but hear it goes. This game works by our devices being in constant communication with SC servers or atleast regular intervals no? So why can something be coded to instantly detect 3rd party apps and just log said player out. Would be no need to even say reason for logout just do it and for all they would know its a wifi drop. My gaming and computer expertise is minimal at best but seems in todays world this should be a breeze. I mean c'mon we have cars that drive themselves but cant snuff out a program that interacts with the game.

Coz if it scans for cheaters all the time, the mod devs will include a scanner on whether it is scanning before it starts. So it won't catch them, and then when they know how it detects, they will work around.

It's a cat and mouse chase, both sides outdoing the other. Imo the battle between devs and mod devs will never end, especially since burner accounts are easily replaceable.

I believe if SC does a big update against mods rather than a small adjustment they could well win. If they implemented a 24-hour cooldown on viewing that would seriously put mods down, I believe it'd be pretty hard to mod off a pic of a base. As long as it literally only sends the info for the base that is not on cooldown then I think that'd stop em for a while at least.

edit: maybe even try to ask the mod company themselves to stop, as other companies have done and succeeded

Doing a big update against mods will just slow down the mods' development severely, at any rate, mods would catch up BUT if SC keeps updates going so that once the mod developers figure out a way to circumvent the system, it's totally new and back to square one.

Also, I'm curious as to if SC can actually try and do have a peace talk with them, I doubt that the mod developers themselves would keep the end of the bargain. Another thought if SC can take legal actions against them.

1 To the people saying that this is a small problem because affects a low % of clans:
-you cannot speak for the majority because we don't know how many clans are affected in the world and only few people come on forums. you cannot negate something you ignore the existance, many people just don't recognize the modding or suspect to be moddered. the time of 1 barb drop has finished a year ago

Also time ago there were many saying that modding was not existing and that the clans were losing only because they were not good.

2.To those asking for evidence proof:
-why no one was asking for pics while 1 barb dropping era? and how we can picture the things the modders do on their account?
the pics posted here show the top th11 leave their clan every war , they don't go in lv 1 clan to donate high troops to th3 with 10 slots cc, if they wanted to help their dummy mini, they would take their mini in main clan

3. To those looking for solutions:
-we don't know what SC want or can do here.
not letting to see or visit farming bases is not a solution
not letting people to leave and return in the clan during a war is not a solution
it is up to SC to find the solution

Just seems if mods interact with the game SC should be able to shut them down somehow. Mabey its just to costly to be so proactive but in this age of computing it has to be possible. I get the feeling those who play fair are once again being laughed at. Even the acct. Banned pls help threads have slowed to a crawl. So frustrated and angry and this is supposed to be my fun time.
