(Someone experienced from the forum has visited to see the war replays and agrees it does not appear, shall we say, entirely wholesome.) They were on a win streak of 19, with a war log showing only 3 losses in the last 100 days. Now it's a 20 win streak after a string of our th11 were 3 starred. We are a th11 heavy maxxer clan - not engineered, certainly don't mod, and were on a win streak of 3 (now zero). So while I'm willing to agree it's plausible that in matchmaking clans with long win streaks are more likely to get harder matches and that may well include matches with other long streak clans (however that streak was gotten), it's not the case in every match or that clan wouldn't have matched us.
And neither is it acceptable to equate engineering to modding as you seem to here - the second is against the TOS and is a violation of what Supercell means by "fair play", whereas the first is a tactic or strategy aimed at influencing the process of matchmaking, which certainly is within the TOS and meets the SC definition of fair play (though many might call it unfair within a wider dictionary sense of the word, or unsporting, or whatever).
