Max badge

This badge would be awarded to a player when he/she maxes a certain town hall level. However this would be independent of the current level - if th2(I'm using th2 because less buildings) requires one level 4 cannon and a level 4 barracks (it's probably not, but suppose) and someone rushed to th3 but then started upgrading, he would get the th2 badge as soon as she/he gets a level 4 cannon and a level 4 barracks.

The badge would look like a bigger version of the max troop icon and would show on a profile to the top left corner of the town hall icon.

50, 250 and 1000 gems will be awarded as part of an achievement for getting the 5th, 8th and 11th badges. Open to suggestions.

Going by that logic, release the beasts II is wall breaker and III is dragon... But is getting wall breakers worth more than wizards?
Anyway, the gems can be changed to be given with each badge - 20, 30, 40, ...

This is not a good objection to this idea.

My objection is that it promotes a certain style of gameplay, which SC seems to not want to do. And how would higher level players work? I'm already a TH11, does that mean I'm out of luck? And if someone doesn't max out TH5, are they stuck on the achievement because they can't go back to do it?

All current achievements are something that can always be worked towards. They aren't something that can be missed out on and never attained. And the flaming number/badge things can never be recovered if they're missed

Interesting idea. I like it. Just make the display of the badge optional. Also i do not mind an optional rushed badge. In my base, goblins are rushed. I would love to have a rushed badge on my profile indicating that my base is rushed on account of goblins.

If you go back to the post, I have mentioned that a max badge of a lower than can be attained at a higher level. The mechanics for a th11... I'm not too sure, but maybe when it's introduced all those who have already completed it get it immediately?

I don't think that's a good idea. An engineered base would have to list 100s of rushed badges. If it is rushed only die too goblins, you'll just have the badge of the highest town hall that you have maxed.

Ah, I missed that bit. My bad. How would it handle new structures? My TH stopped being maxed for a TH8 when the bomb tower was released. As far as I know, they can't edit achievement criteria (because of how game center, etc needs to approve them), so max bases could get away with not building new structures and still get the achievement

Yes, I haven't thought about that... Maybe instead of achievements it uses the system I posted in my reply to SMAEL... But new buildings would not affect higher players who already have the badge... This is compensation for all those cost reductions that SC brought in recently XD

And a max badge could also unlock a decoration which gets better in appearance with level of the badge.
