Barracks Pre-Sets.

After reading the sticky, it looks like this MIGHT have been suggested, but it's vague.

My idea is this:

I'd love for there to be an upgradable option to the barracks that lets me pre-set Army compositions. If I wanted to build a BAM, or a GoWIPE army, I could program that into the barracks and click a pre-set button to store it into one of my pre-set slots. Just like you program a car radio.

That way when I get back from raiding, I just click this button.

You could make it so you can upgrade the option using Elixir to add more pre-set slots. Also, you could add in another (more expensive) option to rebuild the army selected while seeing what is already in the camp.

Say I use a Healer/Giant combo, but on my last raid I didn't need all my giants. If you had this 2nd option upgrade, it would see that you had some Giants left, and only queue up the required troops to complete the Army selected.

If troops in your camp don't match with the pre-set you are selecting, you could get a "Troop Mismatch" error. This means you need to donate/dump what you have to use this pre-set. Or select the Pre-set that matches the troops you have currently in camp.

What are your thoughts on this?

But what would happen if you try to queue up something with troops left over that you don't want in this new preset? Maybe just a message saying you have too many troops at the moment? :O

That's a good question. I would imagine you could get a pop up telling you that there is a troop mismatch. Basically telling you that the troops in your camp don't match with the pre-set selected.

I think Clash of Clans is a great game, but it takes way too long to re-build your village or to make your troops. A pre-select feature for village setups or for armies would be awesome!

Anyone else have any other feedback on this? Even negative comments help fine tune it.

I like the idea, that would be nice instead of having to train all those troops. The only thing that might screw it up is if you don't have enough (dark) elixir to train all of the troops

I think in this case the best solution is to have that pre-set greyed out unless you can afford it. Just like it does now when you run out of elixir. Only the troops you can afford are in color, and available for choosing.

Many times given but this should be implemented :)
