Was looking at thier website: cocp.it and I noticed something. Their claim is the highest win streaks in practice are in the intermediary ranges between very competitive, ie 20-40 th9-11 wars and very random wars. They call it a pink zone. If you look at what they call the ao with for them is 1676 that is an average somewhere between th7-8. They war with 30 which puts them right in the middle of the pink zone. If they have a th9 or 2 to make sure they 3* a th8 as well as able to defend vs a th8 say low splash defenses in theory they could have a th9 max defenses which would stop a th8 from 3*. Add some luck in it for the extreme engineers they may be going against most of which don't know how to attack and there you go.
It might not be exactly how they do it but I'm guessing not too far off. If you have a database as large as theirs you could find out what works and what doesn't very quickly.
Now how to they do that...
Rumour has it that the CWL has a spare space left for season 2. 😁
They use the API to fill their DB. They use reverse lookup for filling in the blanks. Meaning: if one clan has its war log open, every clan that faces the open-warlog-clan in war will be logged too, even if the other clans have their logs closed.
As they do not specify what "Martian mind power" I am going to speculate what they *could* do.
In their database they probably also log times too see when what clan does a war search. Most clans will war back to back so they would know when a clan could possibly start a war search. Within that database they could see each clans roster and see which clans are relatively doing bad in war. Furthermore they could then sent a spy to the other clan and try to match-up the roster and start up a war at the same time. And thus creating some very winnable wars.
If they do all this, kudo's to them. Lots of work.
Of course we never know, they might as well rebuilt TH8s from the opponents and practice on them. Still lots of work.
Or even worse use cheats when it is needed. (They have told on the forum that they did in the past when cheating was still wide spread, the coder of the site posted it himself).
Or they are just very very good.
We cannot know for sure. What I do know is that they definitely put a lot of work and time into the game. Everyone who does that deserves some kudos.
He's not saying mods, he's wondering if they use their dataset (collected from the info SC made available) to hunt easy clans. Based on my limited experience with an organized hunt, I doubt it. Matching isn't necessary a slam dunk even if both sides are mostly maxxers, the one I joined fell apart after two failed matches.
