Dark Elixir Easy Farming Strategy - TH7 - Level 4 Troops
Okay so there is a very good post about farming Dark Elixir. The problem for me and I can imagine some of you is the availability of troops/spells/high level troops etc.. So what I have here is a tutorial on easy ways and tell signs for farming Dark Elixir at the beginning stages.
Army setup :
*80-100 Goblins
*40 Archers
*5 or 6 Giants
*5-8 Wall Breakers
As you guys know the giants are gonna be the "tank", they are gonna soak up the damage for the Wall Breakers to get through to the walls. Now, the goblins should have an easy entry way. You want to be really efficient with your wall breakers. I try not to even waste more than half of the goblins I have. Next, always look for the elixir drills on the outside of the base. And they will usually keep the storage inside the base. That's where your lightening spells come into affect. So at TH7 you can maximize your spell factory to fit 3 spells. Make them all lightening, and trust me it will be worth the Dark Elixir.
Check this video out to see for yourself how it's done at a low TH7 and only level 4 troops.

When you use lightning on a DE storage you look like a noob. Not only can you not raid effectively enough to obtain the DE with your troop combo, but it shows you don't respect the effort and work others put into getting that DE in the first place. You can zap peoples' storages if you like, but as a TH8, I make it a habit to ALWAYS revenge zappers. And I don't settle for anything less than 3 stars. I think you'll find most of the Unity Alliance feels the same way.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
PS: If your strategy is zapping, I think you'll have a hard time DE farming in higher Town Halls. Best to learn how to farm it efficiently now rather than later. Just sayin'.
