Not Sure Where This Belongs...

Why is the "diamond double tap" not working when say you need a berry to make smoothie & you don't have it in silo but it gives option to use diamonds to get berry at an extreme price & you "accidentally" touch the button while trying to exit that option & poof! You've just spent a HUGH! amount diamonds on a berry (or whatever) you had absolutely NO intentions of doing so?
Yes my "double tap" button is checked under advanced settings. So am I the only one who experiences this problem?? HD has gotten SO many of my diamonds this way!
Anyone have a solution I may be missing out on?

I don't think you are missing out. I think that is simply meant to be your "warning".

I have not done that, but I have accidentally opened toolboxes. Once, I accidentally filled a boat crate with diamonds, but then my internet cut out and it undid the action (FIRST AND LAST TIME I'M EVER HAPPY ABOUT THAT xD)

I definitely agree that something has to be done there, though.

There's a link in my signature that might be the list? It was compiled by Meonhoc and I found it very helpful.

You can try contacting support and throwing yourself on their mercy. They have in the past offered a one-off refund but I don't know if they still do that.

Meanwhile, take care, and follow the general rule that if anything comes up in a pop up box (calling the boat early, for example, or hiring Tom) it probably won't ask for confirmation.

And do not get me started on this topic! I've always found the double tap inconsistencies to be highly ridiculous and a bit mean.

I also accidentally hired Tom for 5 days once, but at least that one was quite useful. xD

This is yet another reason why I'd never buy a very large Diamond pack in the game. There are still some areas it's too easy to lose gems. I have a heap of trial paths - the ones that cost 8 Diamonds each I'll never use. No confirmations in the deco shop. :(

OMG I feel your pain. I do this all the time, and I just now spent 99 (!!!!!) diamonds on one single hamburger crate. Geeez!! I usually let them go, but this time I wrote to support asking for a refund. So annoying that they deliberately (I feel) put the confirmation button exactly where your next screen tap will be when filling multiple crates, or doing any other action, so that you almost always just click it before you even realize what it says. Arrrrrghhhhh.

It's the same with extra spins on the wheel of fortune, although at least in that case it is only 1 diamond down the drain if you accidentally tap on "new spin". With production of goods it's so many diamonds, there really should be a double tap confirmation. My poor daughter once wasted 9 diamonds on a bag of sugar to make an espresso. :(

Same when opening mystery boxes, there's no confirmation and I've accidentally tapped on "open" too many times.

ETA - shepherdgirl, OMG, 99 diamonds. I think I would have cried. :eek:
