Terrible idea. That's the entire point of the spell...to damage whatever the user wants.

Simple solution is to remove the loot penalty for revenges.
I think that all storages should be slightly immune to lightning, but not totally immune.
There are many strategies to mitigate this problem, so I doubt it needs to be specifically addressed. I don't like losing 1k DE and get no shield out of the deal, but I tend to just mentally increase the price of any DE upgrade by 5% and I cope just fine (e.g., if I am saving for a 40k upgrade, I expect I will lose 2k DE (from legit raids or lightning only attacks) while I save up for that upgrade).
Don't agree. What if you lightning a wziard next to a d.e. storage and one lightning strike hits storage by accident. Where would that strike go? Exactly.
I'm aware there are ways to mitigate the problem but the fact is, it's still a problem and a lewd way of acquiring dark elixir. It should be worked for, not require hitting next till you find a lot then *tap tap tap* and you get a lot of dark elixir. Just cheapens the game even if it doesn't affect you directly. Just the principle of the problem is the issue.
some of you seem to be confused. "The point of lightning is to damage anything" and "where does the lightning to? Exactly" have some broken logic lol.
I realize that it's "just a part of the game" and there are ways to reduce it but the point is, should it be possible in the first place. That's what I'm getting at with this thread.
In my opinion, all storages should be immune to lightning - so that lightning is designed to take out defenses only. Or at least make it like 75% less effective on storages
