FARMING: my 2 cents.
Learn to farm: No.... Not what half of these knuckle heads that call themselves farmers are doing, but honest to goodness farmers.
Set your village up for farming: Pull your TH from behind walls for easy shields. Put that TH down low in your village. Not to left or right, but at the bottom. You want any idiot that comes along to see it. Amazing how many dummy's do a full on attack and never notice your TH SITTING RIGHT THERE!!! Separate your gold storage into different compartments so a fellow farmer wont come along and empty u so easily. Wiz Towers best protect ur gold! And, if space allows put gold mines behind walls also. Move all weapons out of range of ur TH. your giving them free trophys, in exchange hopefully they leave ur gold Alone...
Troops: At your lvl I would use 10-20 wallys, 4-5 giants, which are totally optional. But they are definitely well suited for drawing mortar fire. Some guys (including myself) dont use giants at all. The rest ALL GOBLINS! Upgrade those gobs as quick as u can.
Raiding: Minimal troop usage is ur ultimate goal. You're trying to raid 3-4 times before stopping to rebuild your troops.
Learn to spot mines and pumps that are full. You can score major amounts very quickly once you have mastered this art. Your biggest clue will be looking at gold and elixir storage. If they look empty, and its says they huve 100's of thousands of loot available its in the mines and pumps!!! First time you steal 300k/300k and only use 30 or 40 gobs while never breaking a wall. You'll be jumping for joy.
If u screw up and miscalculate and the gold wasnt in the mines, no shame in ending the battle early. Take the trophy loss and move on. No sense in dumping dozens of troops into a village thats too well defended.
Look long and hard for your victim before settling on the right village to attack. Skim the edges for easy gold. If it looks like you'll need 20 wallys and using up all your gobs for only 100k gold, id keep looking. Dont over look the 30-40k in pumps and mines outside walls. Its entirely possible to farm at a rate of 1 mil gold an hour, and you'll find yourself doing so on a good day.
learn what times of day are best to farm. Hint! Sunday nights are epic!!! Everybody needs to go to bed in perpetration for work or school the next day, and they were just playing and raiding hours before. They are full lol.
You'll also need to decide what trophy lvl to farm at. Start by dropping 200 trophys or so to prey on weaker guys. You'll notice pretty quick if you've dropped too low. Gold availability drops to nothing. Plan for it, by making a couple dozen archers to 1 star a guy every once in a while. Also, dont underestimate the attack strength of gobs, they are one of the strongest troops in this game, no joke. Once they've cleared all gold and elixir from village. They become absolutely amazing as to how fast they can take down weapons and other buildings.
Did u notice something about my post? I nearly always mention grabbing gold, and barely mentioned elixir? Thats because gold is most important, and through osmosis you'll end up always having plenty of elixir as well. Focus on gold, dont waste time and troops grabbing elixir. You can't stop the gobs by picking it up anyways. You'll have plenty, so just focus on gold...
