When will you guys fix this? A th11 can be ranked as low as a th7 and have maxed troops. And as long as they only have 2 bows they can upgrade some wiz and archers towers to th11 but still be ranked low th9.
Easy fix town hall ranks matter.... if you are a th11 you will be put in was strength as a 11 not as a 10, 8 etc....
This cheating makes it not fair when warring... which makes the game not worth it... please fix asap
Hello OP, sorry to hear that you feel that your opponent is unfair or cheating the system. Since there are no rules against engineering and it doesn't violate the ToS, its NOT cheating. In actuality it's called engineering and SC allows this type of play style. War opponents are picked by overall weight (entire war roster) based on offense and defense.Quote:

"Engineering" is a heated topic and opinions about it in the Community are divided.
Are lopsided bases anything we can prevent? If we could, should we do drastic changes? Would players put up with strict restrictions on upgrades to mandate offense-defense balance?
Say we put in a restriction, could the restrictions be balanced to be somewhat more lenient? Where would we draw the line? And if this is a complex line, would we need tools to help players manage their upgrades and understand their restrictions better?
Some cases cannot be prevented even with restrictions. For instance, thinking about launching a new troop, spell, defense or extra buildings at lower Town Hall levels. Doing balancing becomes more difficult, as any bigger rebalance could allow people to break the restrictions.
Without a restriction, what can we do? Keep in mind that we are already doing a lot. As mentioned in the previous Dev Q&A, there is a huge amount of code behind the CW matchmaking that specifically looks for lopsided bases and is designed to mitigate any unfair advantage they might have. This isn’t always obvious to players, because the war map is sorted by defense strength only. However, attack strength is ALWAYS taken into account, and CW matchmaking does all it can to make sure the “books are balanced” overall from top to bottom of a war map, both in terms of attack and defense strength. Of course we can always do better and we will continue to improve this matchmaking very often.
We can’t really prevent them without making extremely complex restrictions that will adversely impact some players and that would require a lot of time and development effort to do right - and even then they might not even work that well in the long term. Instead, we try to improve our matchmaking algorithms to reduce unfair advantages from things like lopsided bases, and we will continue to do so regularly!
Just over 12 months ago supercell said get your town hall inside you base because thats not how we ment for the game to be played, so engineered bases is ok that's how the game is ment to be played , really how dumb

Your report is for sure not the first, regarding engineered/lopsided bases, please just read the title of threads in multiple subforums (ideas, general, etc..) regarding this gameplay.
Beyond BiStarCarnage's (:p) reply, please note that these lopsided bases are a feast in multiplayer mode, they can't win it all ;) ; and to my preference: i can play this game (aka raid) far more often in multi than in war (I started before wars existed).
War gameplay is not the only way to play, but as you see from SC point of view, they are reacting to it, with consideration for all types of players.

The game is losing its appeal too many, due to this. It is not fair game having a th11 with no inferno only 2 crossbows but one is a th10 level. And 1 wiz towers is th11 level king and queen in mid 20s and he is ranked a low th9 because he didn't upgrade walls and add the fact he's got 1 air defense at th10 as well...
If this doesn't change soon. Your game will become old news.... I've seen tons leave this game and never come back... my clan of 50 is about had it.... if the next big update doesn't do something about it... you will be losing alot.
And the truth is supercell won't fix it... you wanna know why.... because if you want a th11 with th8 defenses but heroes and troops are th11... you have to gem.... and that's why supercell won't fix it.... don't give me some ♥♥ that some players like it... the just adapted... supercell wants us to gem our heroes that's why the downtime is a fn week and cost so much...

I will say that SC have made several changes to the MM to mitigate any advantage that those bases might have and are committed to making further changes to that end.

I disagree, the clan i am in on my mini has an engineered account in it(we use it for war) and its a good war strat, remember engineered accounts r ez 3 stars
