Supercell has to do something about the villagers rather then them walking around doing nothing or running into a town hall under fire because the chief is farming. If its a village, make it more of a community rather then a 100% military base/ bank.
The villagers could play around some defenses! for example, a villager could climb into a mortar and either(th 1-6) land in front of or(th7+) on top of your town hall. also, they could climb onto the xbow, and it would spin them around really fast and would have the same animation as a defeated hero without the explosion type thing when they first die. lol, you could show a builder flirting with a villager and then sweeping her off her feet and kissing her. maybe sometimes a lone goblin could come out of the woods and double take a few times before either a defense shot him or he wandered back off into the woods. lol it would be funny if the heroes being king and queen had the hots for eachother. And if not that then they could fight and practice like the archer queen would shoot arrows and the king would block him with his sword, the higher level would always win, and same leveled would be a 50/50 chance of winning. maybe golems could sometimes split in to golemites in your army camps and would simultaneously look at eachother and scrrath their heads, before doing a body slam and becoming a full golem again. a witch could spawn two skeles and they would fight, the loser would crumble into bones and disappearing, and the winner would jump and cheer until he too crumbled into bones and disappeared. dragons and hot air balloons could land, and the dragon could pick up the tier 1 troops while the hot air balloon could carry both tier 1 troops and wallbreakers, and they could take the troops and a ride around the village before returning to the army camps and dropping them off. A pekka, supposedly a women, could sometimes even do a ballerina type dance lol. maybe an archer queen could pick up a regular xbow, try to shoot it, and the recoil would send her flying backward. she has the heroes defeated dizzy animation a few moments before returning the xbow and picking up her usually modified one. Your heroes could be seen taking a swim or drinking the dark elixir from the storage(it wouldnt take any away) since de is what fuels them. an inferno tower could have a leak of lava and a group of wizards would be called in to cast a spell(making the ground look like it has been freeze spelled but smaller radius) to clean it up. Valkryies could sometimes start spinning and then become a big tornado, and finally wind down and have the hero defeated dizzy animation... sorry my ideas are unorganized and probably not too great, but I hope you guys like them.

But I don't think lag would be an issue because the animations are mostly for a village in idle/building mode, lag plays no role there.
