New resource collector idea
In the spirit of the inferno tower, specifically how it does more damage the longer it is locked on a target, how about resource collectors that generate more resources the longer you leave them be between harvestings. So, the collectors start off generating resources slowly, and speed up as time goes by. The longer you wait to collect the resources, the faster they collect.
This will bring another level of decision making for the player. It'll be nice to leave the collectors alone so they quickly generate resources, but then they will be vulnerable to attacking players stealing a lot more loot. If you don't have an active shield, do you harvest them more quickly so the resources are safer in the storages? Or do you leave them be and hope no attackers get to them?
I was thinking these collectors could be in addition to the traditional ones already in use. Maybe have one gold, one elixir, and one dark elixir building per town that generates this way. And maybe the capacities of these buildings could be larger than 150k.
